This family-run BnB is a traditional Han-Taiwanese building with a courtyard (三合院), with simple, clean, and comfortable rooms.

Location is good if you have a scooter (electric or gas), as it's a few minutes away from the pier or from the big town, but it's in a quiet location. Easy to find the location if you use Google Maps.

The BnB has its own small beach access, that sea turtles come to feed during high-tide. There are also foldable chairs you can take to a spot on a rock above the shore, and watch the stars at night, or the crashing waves during the daytime.

But what makes the place so good is Mick, the owner/manager who speaks perfect English, who was born there, but lived many years in the big cities of Taiwan. He came back to Lamay Island because of his love for the sea and local lifestyle.

One of the best experiences on the island, was the low-tide tour by Mick, walking out of the BnB to the shore nearby to see lively marine life that we would have never seen without Mick. For us, the low-tide tour was before sunrise, and we watched the sun rising while walking in the water - it was amazing!

Perfect stay in Xiaoliuqiu - we definitely plan to stay here again the next time we visit the island

A peaceful little hostel yards from a tiny cove where turtles feed around high tide.

It isn't the easiest place to find as no sign is given in English but it is more or less where Google maps identifies

The English speaking host is gracious, welcoming and very helpful. He can organise tours, snorkeling etc if you wish.

The rooms are comfortable enough with good showers, fridge, tv etc. There are comfortable chairs and tables in the courtyard for lounging around.

We had our bikes and so the 3 minute cycle to eateries in town was no issue.

A quiet room yards from turtles

We booked this accommodation, because it advertised snorkelling and bicycle rental. This is both false, they themselves provide none. On the other hand, the manager was kind enough to take me to a diving shop. And to bring us bicycles from a bicycle rental shop. (Be warned though, it were the most rusty and terrible-shaped bicycles I've ever seen.) 
It's location has it pros and cons. It is far from the madness of the harbour village, but it is just far from anything. But that wouldn't be a problem, if you rent a scooter.
Room itself was nice, not too big, but not small, clean and with AC.
