Pros: Formosa Boulevard Station is around the corner.  Budget-friendly.
Cons: Stayed 6 nights, the room was only made once and that was after our 3rd day when I asked the receptionist as I went out in the morning.  I didn't bother reminding them anymore just asked them to give me toilet paper 3 times. Smells like smoke in the hallway, air conditioning doesn't work, bathroom door doesn't close or lock.

Outdated budget hotel

the hotel is located outside the MRT very convenient for transport and near the Liuhe Night Market. 
i have booked 3 rooms and the rooms were small and dusty. air conditioning was noisy in all of the rooms which was annoying even told the receptionist, nothing is done. 
Need to pass the receptionist the room card if you want your room to be make over. the room only provide 2 bottles of mineral water per day. they have water cooler machine outside the room. 
the breakfast was standard for the 3 days with very simple taiwanese food. do not expect wide international spread of breakfast. i don't like the breakfast even i have paid for them. i went for one day only the rest i gave up. bear in mind breakfast starts at 6:30am ends at 9am. 
I missed the 1st day breakfast as the receptionist didn't give me the voucher n when i went down at 8.55am to collect the voucher i was then told the breakfast ends at 9am. 
The receptionist was not friendly when i checked-in but there was a very friendly and helpful lady (who is a malaysian married to a taiwanese) who help to sort out things. she is the only one which we approached when we needed help instead of the reception. 
i will not return to the hotel again. 

old and unfriendly hotel

The hotel is near from the Airport cost only 300Taiwan Dollars, nice location as it was near to the station and other places like night market/ malls and tourist attractions. The room is quite nice and big. I love their hot shower and shampoo & body wash smells good. Staff was nice,hard speak english but they will help you and assist by their best. Over all i had a great time to stay in this hotel Its recommended.

Year End Vacation 2019

Very good location a few steps from exit 1. Basically a local business hotel with basic room facilities like LCD TV, Fridge, 2 bottles water with unlimited refills, towels, tooth brush, shampoo/shower gel etc. Clean and comfortable enough. Luihe night market less than 5 mins walk, local food nearby.  Bed comfortable enough and room clean.

We booked a double room but got twin. Very old room including strange smell. 10 Minutes after checking-in the room we found a bug in the bed. Uargh :(. We cancelled the reservation and searched for another hotel. It was too bad!

Hotel located in metro Formosa Boulevard, good price and clean, ideal for getting to know the sights of Kaohsiung, going to visit Cijin island, good connections by metro, we really enjoy the attention of the girl who is outside the reception, we have recommended places and areas to visit, what we least liked was the breakfast they offer, but for the price you pay for the room, it's better to have breakfast at 7 eleven.

Well situated.

Its all about the location. Hotel was right outside exit 1 of Formosa Boulevard station. We booked the quad room and we were lucky to be assigned in one of the newly renovated floors. The room was big and the beds were huge. Very comfy beds and pillows too! The buffet breakfast was so-so. Just enough to get you started on your day.

Now the bad side, we were on the NON-SMOKING floor and I specifically requested for a non-smoking room. But when we get inside the room, we can smell smoke everywhere. My mom who's already 72 was not able to sleep a wink because she could not breathe. I hope they will be more strict in implementing the no smoking policy. It seems that they are aware of smokers as we saw exhaust fans in the hallway, maybe to eliminate the smoke. But alas, that did not help at all.

Great Location

Signage of the hotel is "Business Hotel" so I got confused. Good thing I watched videos of it before our trip. Location is Ok. Just few steps from formosa blvd MRT station Exit 1.  Room is very very old, imagine the smell. I booked "room with window" and price was higher. Literally it is just a glass panel with curtain. The glass has black cover. you can see nothing. Every night, i kill tiny cockroaches on the headboard. The bathroom has no shower curtain, no bathtub so the whole floor is always wet and slippery.

The best features of the hotel was it was only 1 minute walk to Exit 1 of Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, also located in a not too busy big street, many cake shops, a 24 hours complete convenience store, and only 300 meters from a Liuhe Night Market - not too big but many traditional Taiwan food for tourists that don't want go to far for dinner.

I booked the 3 queen bed family room, the room was big, an looked not too luxurious, the bathroom also pretty big, hot shower was satisfying.

My most regret was, there were some adult tv channels on the TV which didn't mentioned by the staff. For a family with teenage it was really disturbing. Can you imagine that all of our family was watching the TV, and I switched the channel to a porn channel?

There was also some disturbance to our sleep, since they were having some construction job ongoing until really late in the night. 

The hall also got quiet thick cigarettes smoke smell in the hall, which didn't passed into the room, but yet might little bit disturbing for guests asked for non-smoking room.

Other than those 3 problems, everything else was good, water fountain that got Hot and Cold water available in the hall, staff was helpful, especially the concierge lady, air conditioner working well. breakfast menu was pretty good , simple and proper for the price.

Still got 4 rating since the room price it was really a bargain.

Love this place. Very close to Formosa Blvd MRT Station and Banks, lots of food around there especially LuRok Rice and noodle. The staff greets us very good.
