Methusha Holiday House

Stayed 18 nights, through Christmas & New Year into January. All I can say is.....I absolutely love this place. Prabath and her husband (and two young sons) are just delightful. Make sure you try her breakfast pancakes😋😋 Set back 100 metres from the beach road, it's wonderfully quiet, with the background sound of the waves breaking on the beach. Out on the balcony you're surrounded by banana trees, Palms and a veritable jungle. Two of the three rooms have aircon (silent & effective). Bathroom would grace an expensive hotel, and you can open the door and windows for a panoramic 'jungle' view. The kitchen is a great facility. I cooked every other night and most days for breakfast. There's a resident Peacock one roof away. Well-behaved (doesn't squawk ) and likes showing off his plumage to the ladies. At night, walking along the lane, there are so many fireflies in the vegetation, lizards & toads occasionally daytime, and plenty of friendly locals along the lane, which is completely safe. I'll be back in Mirissa next year and will stay again. Won't even look anywhere else. Thoroughly recommend. A great find.
