I have been in choy’s waterfront hotel , 
rooms is really comfort nice view to the lagoon had about 10mints from the airport for visiting baryons its about 3mins I guess from nugambo down town and about the  reception the r really cool :)

I had an excellent experience. Clean room with amenities, tv, wifi, kettle and coffee. Amazing views of the surrounding nature! Shops and restaurants are located nearby. 
Professional and very friendly staff. Great value for money.

We have been to Choy's restaurant many times but they were never consistent where their food was concerned, but when we went there last week it was very good and our guests too enjoyed themselves.  The service was also good.  We ordered crumbed prawns, vegetable rice, mushrooms and fish in hot butter sauce, chicken.

dinner at the restaurant was very good

I took a chicken fried rice yesterday and it was do bad that when eating got the taste of kerozine and hardly any chicken in it at all and full of garlic refuse. When being informed regarding the quality of it to chef luxman, he was not bothered at all and was laughing at the dish he made and when contacted the person who took the order, he is kithsiri. His response was equivalent to that of luxman. Very bad restaurant

1. When I came to this place I payed full payment ( 5500 rupees ). Then they gave me room of 401, but when I opened the room door it was not ready it was totally unclean. Then I have had to wait more than one hour to get the room.

2. I booked B/B package, but they didn't inform anything about breakfast. 

3. I juts asked room service to bring some sugar it took a while for them to bring that was fine the reason was when that person came to the room he didn't knocked the room he just trying to open the room it was really bad. 

The services was really bad nothing to say about good. Safety of this hotel was really bad, some of the doors were not really closed even no locks were there. Shouldn't get a good safety at the hotel. 

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who trying to get good service and safety. 

Had a bad experience 

During day time they are taking more time for preparation of foods. Quality of foods are average and services are poor. I was obsessed declining trend of overall performance of this restaurant during my last two recent visits. 

Services are very average 

If you are just after a comfortable room when you've landed or are about to leave, this place is OK. Room was clean, comfortable, good aircon, great view over the lagoon.

But nearly all the few rooms are on the fourth floor, and there are no lifts. It is also a way out of the centre of Negombo town and from the beach. When we came down for breakfast at 7.40, we got blank looks, and were told that breakfast wasn't until 8 . When it came, in slightly odd order, it was very good. 

Wi-fi was very up and down

An unusual experience

This hotel is a good startingpoint for your trip. Only 20 minutes from the airport, comfortable room with a great view over the lagune. It's not in the tourist zone, but it's walking distance from the busstation and beach. Food in the restaurant is good. Service is basic, not all of the staff speak English, but they manage.
