We arranged pick up at the airport but no-one came. Phone number given did not work. Taxi driver couldn't find hotel- it didn't seem to exist. Luckily we found elsewhere!

Hotel doesn't seem to exist!

This is not a 'resort'. It is someone's house that a cab driver could not find after asking about 5 locals. The worst was that when we finally arrived NOBODY was there. So, we paid for a hotel that we could not even sleep in. We slept at the airport on benches that night instead incredibly frustrated. Don't bother booking this place is my strong advice!Hotels.com should take this off their listing entirely. It really hurts the credibility of the site in general.

Avoid! Nobody even there! Could not get in. Waste.

Very quiet and friendly Lovely dinner Patrick was very helpful Took us to the beach and for a massage in his tuk tuk.

Be aware no hot water. so cool showers. No bottled water either as stated. Great people.

Lovely people. However all rooms shared bathrooms. No bottled water. No hot water just cool water to shower. None of which is clear. So basic. Yet warm, kind and friendly people nevertheless.

There are some decent things to say about Patrick Family Apartment.

I got a bargain price, and Patrick is a nice man, although don't expect too much out of the well-worn room. It's a backpacker special.

Based on that aloneI would have given it a higher rating; however, my issue is with Patrick's description of the property, which, at best, is a blatant case of false advertising.

I found Patrick Family Apartment on Agoda. The room, as of February 14 when I wrote this review, is described as having "air conditioning"; a "balcony/terrace"; a "television"; and an "in room safe."

Here's the reality. The balcony/terrace is about large enough for flower pots, and the only way to access it is by climbing through a window. Out of curiosity, I tried and found the windows rusted shut. 

The television is located down the hall in a common room. I pointed out to Patrick that the description indicates the television is in the room. He responded that it's O.K. because there is still a T.V. on the premises.

The "in room safe" doesn't exist, and I was told that I would be charged extra for the air conditioning. I declined to do so and was left with the fan.

Patrick said that the Agoda description was incorrect and that he had told the company to fix it. Apparently, he hasn't tried very hard because he said that many tourists are confused by the ad, indicating it's been up for awhile.

I don't mind staying in bargain accommodations, but I do mind when it appears that the owner is trying to mislead those who might be staying there.
