Saara Beach Hotel

Stayed here for 1 night, but wish I could have stayed longer. Rooms are big and clean. Great staff, very helpful. Beautiful sunset. Great beach just to the right.
Not far from the airport, so a great option to avoid Negombo.

I wanted a quiet place away from the beaten track and stayed here for 15 nights and did not wish to leave.
On the beach there was often only myself and the fishermen further along. The room was large and more than adequate for my needs, the staff were amazing, help full people and the food was of the excellent home cooked variety, the menu was limited but I then found that if you ask they will try to provide, I was eating mostly sea food and traditional Sri Lankan food, Excellent for my needs.

Saara beach hotel  is a newly opens very nice place near the best part of Marawila beach!. Quiet, great staff, very efficient and helpful. We stayed in standard room with  found it very pleasant. All rooms with brand new nicer outlook. Fantastic resturant was a real bonus. Management very accommodating when we had to change our plans. It is out of town a bit so you need to eat in the restaurant, but the food was good. Great value for money, one of the better places we explored.

It's a very small, brand new place and it's slightly odd. But the room was big and clean and the beach is 30 metres away.

Small business, owner (ken) and staff could not do enough for guests.

Great Value

Booked a sea-view room at this hotel for one night. 
Called the day before arrival to confirm the booking and that the room was available. When arrived the manager was not present and I was asked to wait in a not so proper waiting area (no air conditioning no real chairs to sit in, no tables to place one's belongings). 
Once the manager arrived I was told that the room I booked was already taken. 
My issue with this situation is that I was given a verbal confirmation that the room I booked a week before was available. 
Additionally, the manager continued to charge me the price of the room that was more expensive than the room he was offering me.   
The manager was nice enough to help me find a suitable room at another hotel but the whole experience was uncomfortable and inconvenient

Uncomfortable and Inconvenient (despite having confirmation, sold my room to another guest)
