Fantastic find a couple of doors away from Villa Bentota.  Outdoor restaurant on 1st floor with views over train track through palm trees to the beach.  Ate here on 2 occasions, grilled prawns & curry on first visit and more prawns and grilled fish on our second!  Fantastic roti, fresh salad and cold beers - perfect!  It’s a relaxing place to sit and take in the surrounds but don’t expect ‘fast’ food, everything is cooked from scratch.  The owners are delightful and very welcoming, we visited during the day too and used their sun beds and umbrella down on the beach...

Simple but superb!

Ended up coming here two nights in a row, as the food was so delicious. Staff were so friendly and the fish was so freshly prepared and all round the best seafood we've ever had. Thank you, we will be back if we ever come back to Sri Lanka.

BEST SEAFOOD EVER !

Had lunch and dinner here on a few occasions and it was lovely. Chicken soup is wonderful and worth the wait. The curries are delicious, all the dishes were. Beautiful view of the beach. The balcony area is so cool on a hot day. Chanaka is a lovely man with a big smile for everyone. We will be back 100%

Lovely food 

We stayed for 3 nights at Sun & Sea and had a great time. A few of the highlights:
	- Location: We spent a lot of time in particular on the communal balcony eating breakfast and dinners with a fantastic view of the nearby beach and the passing trains (which is a highlight of the location rather than a downside)
	- The food: The host Chanaka is an amazing cook. His breakfasts are huge and tasty- Sri Lankan omelettes, fresh juice, fruits etc. Dinners were similarly great- and easily the best food we ate in Bentota
	- The rooms: Simple, pleasant and clean.
	- The host: Nothing is too much trouble for Chanaka who does everything with a big smile.
