Stayed there few days as traveling to South Africa for my friend wedding. 
Hotel was old with no proper renovation.
Had breakfast.. unfortunately very low quality food ….
Housekeeping was good as used to keep the room properly cleaned but at the same time was not changing the bed linen.
Overall not recommended.

About Hotel

Hotel Savera has a new section which is an Express Takeaway. Their staff is pathetic, the lady that served us was more interested in joining her boyfriend in the carpork. The Food that we ordered, they did not have, They presented us with a bunny (Pic attached), absolutely disgusting, I will not feed it to my dogs. Our waiting time for the disgusting bunny was 1 hour.

Pathetic Service and Food at Savera Hotel

To be honest, I would have not have even this dump a star, but the public needs to be aware of the absolutely disturbing stay my family and I had at Hotel Savera. Firstly, on arrival we were welcomed by the lack staff members who were completely computer illiterate, let me not even mention their hospitality towards guests at the the Hotel (however, they where enjoying the scenery of the drunk women performing outside). The staff members insisted that all the rooms where booked (with us booking and paying 2 month prior to our trip). With the request of a family room, we were given a room in which someone had slept in and had not been cleaned, stinking and in a disgusting state, and, their staff members insisting that we can "rough it out". We were then moved to another room which was tiny and not much of an improvement from the first. Only once we argued out booking were we all of a sudden given the family room that we asked fro, which to our surprise was not cleaned as well. Let me not get started on their torn towels, wet bedding and terrible service. There is so much could go on about but I hope that the next person does not make the same mistake we did by booking at this ABSOLUTE DUMP.

TERRIBLE WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT

Booked and paid for our accommodation in February 2022 for a April 2022 function.  When we arrived, there was no rooms available.   The booking clerk messed up with our booking.   We were offered a room that someone had just used.  We wait to wait 2 hours for the room to be cleaned.  This is not a place I would recommend.  

Great potential but so poorly managed.  Seems like the hotel is being used as a front for something much more.

Faulty Towers

The hotel has been renovated in year 2015 and it seems millions of ZAR spent on it to give it an impressive Indian culture look. It's matter of pride to have such Indian hotel in center of Durban with all facilities like typical Indian restaurant, casino, horse racing batting and gambling machine.
Though the Owner is very kind and full of dedication, its not him who run the business on day to day basis. This is what makes the experience worst for the guest like me who stayed there for almost 3 months !!
The housekeeping is poor as they don't change the towel and bed cover regularly, reception is poor, need to beg for milk/coffee as these are not topped up on daily basis, missing breakfast items, Poor response on any service request made, Long waiting time for food and almost an hour on weekend that stops you from eating there. Even not given a room as promised with a proper view.
Peoples working there are of soft and friendly nature and I am still trying to find out on what stops them from provide better hospitality ? 
As there are many hotel staff meetings going on almost daily basis, they need to brainstorm on how to make the guest experience better with prompt and improved service. All the best and would like to see such Indian hotel growing in south africa.

Very Good Potential but Poorly Managed

Worst hotel ever stayed in, filthy, smelly. child had to sleep on a thin mattress on the floor, had to pay in extra R1500just for the mattress, breakfast was cold everyday and same thing. we booked for 10 days, only stayed 7 days.

The bed was comfortable, we requested extra pillows and did receive them. The air-conditioning isn't very effective. Everything advertised, was not supplied...The water pressure in the shower, was ridiculously low...
