My husband and I spent the weekend at the Highlander Hotel and had a fantastic stay. The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything we needef. With a lovely patio and stunning view. The fireplace was a lifesaver on the chilly nights. 
Staff were friendly. The food at the restaurant was out of this world. We will definitely be visiting again.

Fantastic weekend at The Highlander Hotel

What an experience. Awesome venue. Attention to detail seems to be their moto. Service is excellent. From the staff in reception through to the chefs who want to do something different. Looking for a weekend away . This hotel should be on your list.

What a place 

The rooms are cosy and comfortable.
The beds are warm on a cold night.
Luxurious!
Room service available.  But prefer to be in the restuarant.
Perfect  for a quick getaway,  or a couple of days of pure relaxation!

Amazing Hotel

The hotel offered an exceptional suite with a gorgeous log fire which was set ready for us after we had eaten a brilliant dinner. Simon who was on reception was more of a factotum and helped us with everything.  He is a credit to this hotel and made our experience even better.

Breakfast also didn’t disappoint with a lovely choice of options from a full British breakfast to various local options such as locally sourced trout with scrambled eggs. 

I am really looking forward to going to this hotel again. One night was just not enough.

Fabulous hotel in Dullstroom!
Upgraded us to Suite, very comfyx-tra large bed, fireplace,  tv with Dstv, lounge and dining-area, nice terrace, amazing dinner at their fine dining restaurant. Very good location. Excellent service. 

Fabulous stay in Dullstroom!

We stayed for one night in this hotel. The room was pretty big, the bed was one of the best we had during our one month trip through SA! Bathroom was huge and very clean.
The staff was very friendly during check in and out.
We decided to have dinner in their restaurant! Outstanding service again ! Their winelist is very nice too but tbh their prices are quite high according other restaurants we have visited of this kind.

GREAT BEDS YUM !!

Wow. What a marvelous experienve. Clearly by far and wide the top establishment in Dullstroom, both for accommodation and the restaurant. The accommodation is beautifly laid out, very comfotable and has everything you need for a very great spoil. Our dinner and breakfast  were impeccable, beautifully presented and comparable with the best city restaurants worldwide. The service was also excellent. The menu selection is very safisfying with great choices. The wine list is out of this world and caters for all price ranges and cultivar's including some rather special local and imported wines. The whiskey/whisky bar selection is unbelievable. I've never a selection quite as comprehensive as this.Well done to the owners and management. Ian and Zurene.

Wonderfull experience.

We arrived into dullstroom on Christmas Day and cold called the highlander to see if they had any options for dinner. They invited us over and we sat at the bar with the owners with Yvonne and John. As it turned out, they had some spare rooms so we moved in for the night and to one of the best hotel rooms we have stayed anywhere. We then had a fabulous Christmas dinner prepared by their chef - ostrich boboti. I could not recommend the highlander hotel enough. It was superb. 

Spontaneous Christmas Day at the Highlander

We returned to the Highlander Hotel once again. We love the feel of the hotel. The owners, Yvonne and John make you feel part of the family. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are luxurious, spacious and very comfortable. We have been to the Highlander many times and will continue to keep it one of our holiday destinations. 

Amazing Experience!

We needed to make a 2-night stopover in Dullstroom.  We booked at the Highlander Hotel via an on-line booking service. Consequently, we did not receive the room we had requested.  However, upon check-in, the manager, Suzette, graciously arranged a complimentary upgrade to a Suite style room. No doubt, all the rooms are nice but this one exceeded our expectations.  Indeed, it was exceptional!  Spacious, beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, comfortable, veranda with great views over beautiful gardens and rolling hills beyond. Luxurious, peaceful and secure atmosphere.
Restaurant and whisky bar was also tastefully furnished. Deliciously prepared meals and expertly served.  Friendly and helpful staff.  
Thank you for a great stay!
