Staff are amazing and kind! Food is great. Anything you order from the menu is going to be great. We’ve been there every day for 5 days and tried many of the dishes. 

I definitely recommend the goulash. 

Atmosphere is great and prices are fair. 

Simply amazing

It's not always easy going back to somewhere that was a superb first experience, but in July I visited Villa Weidner for the second time, after a couple of years. There wasn't the same massive street festival, but there was a superb atmosphere and lots going on. This will be a wonderful venue for the big EU meeting next year, but I'm glad I got there before!
The food was very good and the beer is always a pleasure. The hotel reflects the city for me. Comfortable, relatively expensive for Romania, but not for Sibiu and not for the location or the quality. 
Breakfast as pretty basic, but all that I needed and from experience I knew that nothing opens early in Sibiu!
I'll happily go back but will be careful that it is not during a major event.

Superb location, friendly, safe parking for motorbikes

need within some hundred meters. Nice outdoor restaurant/cafe with excellent food .Friendly staff and swift service - and you do
Not need to empty you wallet, the prices are modest. 

Very good location 

My second time here, the first was by luck two years ago, but Sibiu is a special place and after two days hard riding I needed somewhere comforting. An afternoon beer in the main square as the band played My Way, it seemed apt. The hotel is excellently located, right on the square. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant lights are fun and I'd like to go back, what better recommendation!

avoid breakfast, instead of being a moment of relax and joy it's full of angry; first morning we received coffees, a bottle of water (tap water), simple omelets and some bread; no butter, no cheese, no ham, no jam, nothing at all; the second morning they found the butter and the jam, and put some ham into the omelets
another problem could be parking, if you come by car; but this is understandable, due to the location

Stayed here as part of a larger tour group traveling through Romania. The best thing about this hotel is the location - in the main square. Just about everything else about this hotel is below average. Since there's a restaurant attached to the hotel it can get somewhat noisy, given that the kitchen and bar is right outside the hotel rooms. Thankfully, it's not open terribly late and you actually get a quiet night's sleep once the restaurant closes. The rooms are very outdated. Showers are fine, hot water. Staff are indifferent about your patronage of their hotel. This is one of those hotels were you are requested to leave your key when you depart the hotel for any length of time. I was OK with this until I returned to the hotel once and there was no one behind the counter to give me my key to get back in my room. Had to wait 20 minutes... unacceptable. My advice - just keep your key with you at all times, which is what I did after this incident.

Worst part of this hotel is the breakfast. It's almost non-existent. Very, very small selection, if they even bring any food out. When there is food, it's not good. I'm not a Starbucks person, but I refused to eat breakfast after the first morning I tried it and ended up eating at the Starbucks next door for breakfast...

Overall, it's an OK place to lay your head down for a night or two, but ultimately it's a less than average hotel.

Awful breakfast, location great

We arrived there as part of touring Transylvania. From all the places we stayed this was a stay we would like to forget. Rooms are very basic and the breakfasts poor . Service was bad as well . Steep stairs lead to the breakfast room . 

Very simple and bad service 

OK at best- drinks charged but not brought to table, terrible semi-raw chips/fries (absolute sacralige that a potato should end its days at the hands of the chefs here)... On the plus side, great ROMANIAN!! sauvignon blanc!!!!!

Restaurant review

The only thing going for the Villa Weidner is the excellent location right on the main square.
The breakfast is terrible. No cereals,no fruit,no pastries. Cold fried eggs in a heap. No toaster. 
On the day of our visit the room was not serviced as the cleaner had not turned up.
The air conditioning did not work in our room.
There is no lift in the hotel and it a big haul for old people such to carry luggage up a steep set of stairs to the second floor rooms.
