Sumaq Wayra is the perfect place to stay in Yanque because of its wonderful accommodations, kind staff, and central location. During my first visit to Yanque in 2019, I enjoyed the local cuisine and explored Yanque with community guides recommended by Sumaq Wayra. I got to know Liliana and her family better by visiting their farmlands and cooking meals together. I really enjoyed spending time with them and learning about Yanque and local culture directly from the people. Since then, Liliana and her family have been like a second family for me in Yanque. I have returned 5 more times to stay with them! The rooms are extra cozy and they have hot water, which is perfect for the cold weather. They offer a large variety of meal options to accommodate any preference. But what really makes Sumaq Wayra the most amazing place to stay is the people who work there. When I am there I feel at home because Liliana and her family have treated me like one of their own.
