I had the opportunity to stay at this brilliant accommodation. The views are incredible and the environment is very tranquil. 
Christian, the owner who built this castle is a gentleman, kind and interesting person. I was on a bicycle tour and pretty much without a place to sleep late in the evening when I knocked on the door at this place. Understanding that I was on a limited budget this time, the owner Christian without a second thought offered a nice room and food to help me out in the situation. On top of it he arranged a tour of the castle and spent time with me answering several questions that I had for him out of curiosity. I would definitely go back and spend a longer time here with my family. 
Rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful, the walks and the nearby beaches are very calming and tranquil, sunrise views are amazing and the food is great. I would highly recommend this place to people who like to spend some quality and peaceful time at the shores of lake Titicaca away from the noise and pollution.

Best place around Puno

A Remote 40k from Puno.
About as peaceful and tranquil as you can get.
We were looked after by the attentive Juan who could not have been a better host.

Unimaginable beauty

If you’d like a peaceful spot to spend a couple of days near Puno with a beautiful view over the lake then this is ideal. Comfortable rooms, very nice beach and good food (the trout is so fresh). The Manager is very helpful and does all he can to make sure your stay is comfortable. It’s rated three star but we felt it was more like four star. 

Stunning setting on Lake Titicaca

I heard so many rumors about this Castle that I needed to go and see it with my own eyes  and I was not disappointed at all. It was as people described and better.  We met Christian (the owner) who has an incredible personality, amazing stories to tell and an unique sense of humor (didn’t stop laughing). We walked all over the castle property and wherever  you go ... you can have an amazing view of the Lake (so romantic) and the Castle has an incredible architecture (see the pics). You have access to a 3 different beaches where you can sit and relax, watching the sunset and letting the time pass without notice :-) also you can do kayak, fishing, rappel between others.  You can spend days without getting bored at all here! My experience was magical and unique!!! I didn’t want to leave :-( but I'm sure there will be another chance to come back! Oh! About the food? This is for another COMMENT!!!!

A Magic Place in the Titicaca Lake 

Amazing, simply amazing! The title of this review says it all. If you lived in paradise then this is where you would go on vacation to find paradise. Everything about the place is magical. I hate to just call it a "place" because it is more than anything I could have imagined. The owner, Sr. Christian, has lived his life to the fullest and personifies the old adage, "your home is your castle". His home is literally a castle! The whole staff was amazing. I will even go as far as to say that they are not "staff" because they become your family during your stay. The best type of family that wants to make sure your visit is absolutely stress free and relaxing. 

I read a review about dogs roaming the grounds unattended like it was something seriously negative. Well on the contrary, they are the best part of the estate. They become your pets and part of the family. Duke and Count (get it...the Duke and Count of the castle) were their names. And if you are not a dog person, which you will be for the duration of your stay, Daisy, the princess of the castle up until Sr. Christian's son had a beautiful baby girl, is the friendliest cat that I have ever had the pleasure of having as a temporary therapy pet ever. If you are lucky, you will be sitting outside in the pitch black darkness of the night and Daisy will jump onto your lap frightening you to near death. I thought it was an alien that came out from Lake Titicaca, like the stories I always hear about the lake. But then you will laugh about it and welcome the unconditional love.

During our visit, we were the only guests on the property. (There are not many rooms so to make it as peaceful as it can be even at full capacity.) You will not turn the TV on, you will welcome the lack of great cell phone service and even though there is limited WiFi, don't bother with it. The castle was built with the idea to escape modern technology and use it as a retreat to a stress free, peaceful existence; to remind yourself that you need time away from the modern world and to incorporate that into your life even when you are home.

The highlight of our stay was the attention afforded to us by one individual, Juan Carlos! You will never forget his hospitality. He will make you feel at home. His tour of the estate is mind-blowing, not only because of the awe of this paradise's every nook and cranny but also because of the history of every detail Sr. Christian has brought to the castle from his travels. I seen stuff I have never seen in my life. I learned everything there is to know about beer glasses, the correct way of drinking cognac and the intricacies of enjoying a taste of absinthe. That was just the bar but I won't ruin the tour of the rest of the property and it's surprises and amazing details.

I can keep going on and on about how amazing the journey to the castle was but who knows if you have even read this far into this review. I want to list everything that is great about the place because I didn't even get to the amazing food, the beautiful room we stayed in or anything that has to do with a usual review. This paradise calls for an unique review because it is truly a unique experience. If you are lucky enough, Sr. Christian will invite you into his castle within the castle for tea and cognac and you will meet his family, including the new princess and her father who cooks amazing food and operates paradise behind the scenes. You will feel like the king and queen of this castle, I guarantee it!

It's Like You Went To Paradise's Paradise!

It was truly an honor to stay at El Castillo del Titicaca. From the moment my husband and I arrived we were greeted with open arms by Sr. Christian's team and the Castillo pets. We were delighted and taken back by the beauty of the property. The views of Lake Titicaca are breathtaking and magical. The attention to guest is superb. The food is absolutely amazing!  We enjoyed eating breakfast every morning with lake views. In the late afternoon we would dine on the terrace admiring the stunning views of the lake. In the evening we spent time staring at the stars in the sky. We were able to see a few shooting stars which was a treat. The place is simply paradise and like staying in a modern & historical living museum. As a guest you will absorb the positive energy and be enlighten. It's a perfect place to stay to remind you to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. We HIGHLY recommend you to stay at El Castillo del Titicaca. You will not want to leave. 
Thank you Sr. Christian for such a beautiful stay and most of all for the memories my husband & I created. We will never forget and can't wait until we go back.

Excellent food

It's been some time now since I had the honor of staying in the castle of Titicaca lake. Christian, your host, is an honorable man whom I am extremely grateful to have met. He built the place with all of his heart and will make sure you have unforgetable memories to share with your grandchildren. Through this way I wanted to remind him and all his loved ones that I am still very thankful for everything they have done for me.

Marvelous experience!

El Castillo del Titicaca is a fabulous place to spend a day or even a night. I went there for one day with my family when we were in Peru. It was a surprise for my birthday and I can tell you that there's not a better place to spend your eighteenth birthday. The view is unbelievable and I had the chance to do some kayak on the lake. My father and I even made rappelling descent just next to the water, it's was an amazing experience. We also had a wonderful dinner. But the best part was the warm welcome of the hosts. If you spend some days near the lake Titicaca, I recommend you to stop by this place, you won't regret it!
