Luis and Casa Mancora was recommended to me by our course trainer in Zorritos - she is a solo traveller like me and past that stage where we want to sleep in dorms. I'm still budget conscious, though having my own bathroom is a comfort I'm willing to pay for. Luis gave me a great deal and apart from sleeping in multi-bed dorms, I couldn't find any cheaper. Luis speaks great English and a really nice guy - he even asked one of the staff to walk me up to the lighthouse to watch the sunset when I asked him where I could go to take scenic shots. The hostel is away from the main street (five minutes walk), so at night it's really peaceful - you can even do astrophotography!

An awesome hostel with a great host!

Beautiful hostel nearby the beach. The kitchen got all you need. The owner is making you fell like at home. Would always stay there again. Miss the dog. We had such a great peaceful time. Wifi work also good. Thanks

Great hidden spot peaceful and a super Host

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The manager is so nice and will help you with everything, the place is beautiful and has really chill vibes - its a bit off the main road but thats an advantage as it makes it much more peaceful and quiet at night. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect!

Luis is a really nice guy who is happy to help. We stayed in the private double. It was clean and comfortable. Shower cold, which is standard in Mancora, but there is one shared electric shower available. Wifi worked well. There are volunteer staff there as well who can't give a lot of information about the area, Luis would be better for that. Kitchen ok, there are enough well-used pots/pans/utensils. But needs more than one sharp knife. Location away from the main road which is nice. Laundry service about 50metres from the hostel. We felt safe walking in the area after dark. Guests were allowed to smoke in the front courtyard though where the hammocks and dining tables area so that wasn't pleasant.

Nice hostel to relax

Set a little bit back from the mainstrip but still a perfect hostel! We actually found the walk up and down to the main road quite nice. The owner is superb and will help with any questions etc. Very highly recommended if you want somewhere nice and quiet to relax for a couple of days. Really comfortable rooms (showers not piping hot) and a kitchen on site, some of the utensils were a bit overused but still usable.
