They are slowing revitalizing this place.  If you want a secluded and quiet place vs. more touristy and crowded just north, then this place is great.  It is at the end of the street and with the beach out front, you can walk for a long way with no one else around.  Very fun time.  Wish we had more time.  The rooms need some updating, but they are in the process of doing so, so by the time you read this, things should already be better.  Definitely worth a look!

The website says that the hotel is 500m from downtown. It is actually about 2km away, if you walk on the beach (the shortest route). And keep in mind, all the places for eating are around there! Location is beautiful, but this is not a real hotel. 3 bungalows on a sandy beach (or sand dune by the beach). Basic, not very well maintained, not very clean, stained towels.
Expensive for Peru prices... and such a great location by the beach! 
The receptionist/caretaker was there only before 4-5pm. First day she woke us up for breakfast at 8:30am (poor breakfast: only a spoon of  coffee and one bag of tea, 4 small buns with butter and jam - just enough for two).
The second day she came just before 10am, when we were just about to leave and look for some  coffee places (some 2km away)...
They only take cash and we've got the receipt long after our trip was over, after insisting...

We tried to call the hotel after we made the reservation and discovered that the number listed did not work. The bungalows are basic at best, with stained sheets and towels (apparently due to the water quality I the area).
Breakfast was served whenever the lady who worked there felt like it. She woke us up with it on the first day and brought it after 10:30 on the following 2 days.
Los organos is a nice quiet beach but I have been told you can find similar beaches closer to Mancora. Other than the location, this overpriced "hotel" has nothing to offer
