Stayed for a week before doing a trek. The beds, breakfast (6 soles) and wifi were great! Victor was amazing -- he gave me tea when I was sick and after my hike when I got back, he saw me and got up in the middle of his dinner to help me get my bag from storage and let me shower. The restaurant out front is lively, and a fun place to get food or watch the World Cup. 

I selected this as a family trip because that’s how I felt here. The owners Julio, Deny, and Luly all make you feel like part of their home. I planned on staying 3 days and ended up staying 3 weeks. They’re working tirelessly to improve the property everyday but it is the vibes that matter here. Everyday not spent in the mountains on an adventure that the in-hostel agency can organize...I was in the lobby, on the roof, or in the restaurant laughing and smiling. You can tell everyone loves it because even the locals stop by constantly just to say hello and see what’s going on. Campo Base will always hold a special place in my heart. I will be back as soon as possible. Food is incredible too.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. Super friendly staff, nice breakfast and hot showers. The rooms are not big/luxurious but for good value for the little money you pay! They also offer good discounts at the recommended travel agency next door (we booked a tour there and was very well organised) and the vibes in the hostel are great!

I stayed here in October 2019 and slept in the 12 bed dorm. The service was good, the staff were very friendly enough and helpful, for example they showed me round the entire place before I decided to stay there. The beds were standard bunk beds (top bunks didn't have side bars) but comfy, my roommates were partying almost every night which is great for having fun but not so good for getting up early for expeditions however this is probably luck, I'm sure I could have slept in other dorms if I asked. overall great value, I stayed in the off/low/rain season which is something like October-March and paid 10 soles per night. The rooftop terrace is great bonus although the seats aren't the comfiest the views of the mountains make up for it. The kitchen just about had enough cutlery and utensils, it was short of space but manageable, still a good place to socialise as everyones close by. The restaurant downstairs is a nice place to chill out with decent music and guests get a 10% discount however, this still doesn't make it good value. The location is great, it is on one of the main squares with plenty of bars, restaurants and tour agencies, close to the two main strips with shops, cafes and bars etc.

I would recommend if on a budget and if you don't mind that the staff don't speak much english.
