The service was very good, friendly staff members. The rooms are a bit outdated, but very comfortable. The restaurant was a good place to come back to, nice atmosphere and overal we very much enjoyed our stay!!

Nice restaurant near the water!

For my profession as a wedding photographer I work all over the country. So I was only here one night.

Upon arrival you think, wow, it looks good! It is clearly an older building that requires the necessary maintenance. But that is not reflected in the cafe / restaurant section.

Upon arrival, the staff obviously did not know what I was coming for. I indicated that I was coming to stay at the hotel. I was immediately helped and pointed to my room by a beautiful lady.

I was told that I had to share the bathroom with other visitors on my floor. That was a surprise to me. But I didn't really care. When I arrived in the room I had two beds to choose from and a small TV.

The bathroom and the hotel room need urgent renovation. Despite that, I had a pleasant stay. With a nice view of the water. If everything is rebuilt, I will definitely be back.

The price / quality ratio was well made by the nice staff.

One night stay

Though the reservation was confirmed, there was no room available upon arrival, and we had to move to a 'sister' hotel with 'comparable' facilities. Essentially, this was no more than a key-in/no reception entry into an apartment block with miniscule bare rooms, and a bathroom that didn't even have soap.

Poor representation of accommodation

Cheap accommodation, clean but basic and dated bathroom. No tea & coffee facilities, nor glasses for water. No hair dryer available when requested. 

Friendly staff, easy checkin etc. 

Food in bar was fantastic, highly recommend dinner menu, but felt 9 euro for continual breakfast was a little pricey. 

Lovely place to walk around, lots of shops, bars, cafe, restaurant etc.

Cheap accommodation

I have stayed here twice now and will be back in future, the hotel is very quirky and nice with some cool and unusual features. The food is very nice and very reasonably priced. There is a good selection of drinks too which are also very reasonably priced. The staff here are very friendly and do their very best to make sure you have a great stay, they also try their very best to communicate and explain everything in English which is very good and handy for us. The hotel could not be located in a better spot, it is less than a 5 minute walk from the free car park and is only a 2 minute walk from the centre of Dokkum town. The rooms are nice and clean, however they can be quite noisy when the bar is open downstairs, but as soon as it closes which can be quite early, there isn't a bit of noise. The free WiFi is quite good and fast. 
As mentioned above, we will be returning again in the near future and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice and well priced

A comfortable place to stay in a great location in the center of Dokkum. The staff were very friendly, they even prepared us a packed breakfast when we had to leave too early one morning. The breakfast at the hotel was nice as well, typical Dutch, with table service. The hotel's restaurant has lovely seating along the canal and the food was great. We stayed in the corner room, the smallest room but with the best view. Only issue we had was the room was quite warm when we arrived and there were only two small transom windows for fresh air, just big enough to let in a bit of cool air and a lot of mosquitoes. Most times of the year this wouldn't be an issue.
