We really enjoyed our stay at Riad dar Othmane. Hassan was a lovely host who sent us tons of information and recommendations up front via WhatsApp and welcomed us into his beautiful riad with a lovely mint tea and biscuits.
He was incredibly helpful and generous throughout our trip and was even kind enough to inform us of the flight shutdowns due to Corona after we had left his hotel.

The riad is located in a pleasant, quiet street close to local businesses and homes, but is also close to shops, markets and many attractions in Marrakech. We could pretty much reach everything we wanted to on foot. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and has a serene little inside courtyard as a breakfast and lounge area.

The breakfast was amazing, consisting of bread, pancakes, varying kinds of baked sweets, fresh strawberries, jam, cream cheese, eggs, hot chocolate, coffee and of course mint tea. It was really filling and we really enjoyed starting our days with nice slow breakfasts before going exploring.

The room we rented was fairly small, but nicely and lovingly decorated and the bathroom was equipped with everything we needed. Shower was one of the better one we experienced in Marokko, it took a little while to warm up but then was great.
The lighting wasn't great, but the room had a nice cozy feel regardless.

Rooms were cleaned and tidied every day.

Wifi was a bit patchy but totally adequate for our travel needs.

We really enjoyed our time at Riad dar Othmane and would immediately stay here again if in Marrakech.
Again, a huge thanks to our kind host for taking such great care of us and for providing so much good information. We are so grateful for everything!

Great Quiet Riad in Excellent Location, Lovely Host

This was our first trip to Marrakech, and Hassan was a very welcoming and helpful host. He had prepared maps with directions to the main points of interest. The first night he walked with us to ensure we didn't get lost. (The Riad is in the heart of the medina)  The breakfasts were very nice and the room clean, the bed comfortable. Luckily the heating worked in the room as Riads are open to the roof and in the winter (last week) it was very chilly there. The room was cleaned every day and the only problem for us was that the lighting in our room  was very dim- we couldn't easily see to read. it was possible to go on organised trips outside of Marrakech that were publicised in the Riad. A Few Days in Marrakech

We - two girls from Germany - found our trip to Marrakesh very pleasant, not least because of our stay in the Riad dar Othmane.
In the beautiful inner courtyard we had a wonderful breakfast every morning with the best tea ever  (we miss it already),  the room was always clean and the owner Hassan was very courteous and friendly. The Riad's organisation of arrival, departure and day trips  is particularly noteworthy.
The location is also perfect to really experience the city. 
We can recommend to anyone traveling to Marrakesh to stay at Riad dar Othmane and would immediately return to Hassan's Riad on the next Marrakesh trip. So here again a big thank you for the tajines, for making us feel welcome in a foreign country and for making sure that we didn't get lost on our way to the central square and back on the first evening :)

Super nice stay!

We spent five nights here. Nice bedroom, comfortable bed, good aircon. Ensuite bathroom was a good size and clean. The riad is difficult to find and there's no signs, but once you know your way around it's only about ten minutes walk to the main square. Breakfast was fine.
The owner was quite unfriendly towards us, which was disappointing given the reviews we read beforehand. Perhaps he was having a bad week, but it really dampened our experience of the place and as a result I wouldn't go back there. 

Nice room but unfriendly owner

We liked to stay there for 2 nights. However, the room was quite small make it difficult to leave the backpacks inside. The carpets were dusty. The bathroom was great, spacious and well cleaned. Breakfast was great. Location a bit far from central square but within a walking distance from it. Our main complaint is about lack of hospitality. Being the first of several hosts in Morocco, this was by far the less emphatic Moroccan.

It’s ok but not stupendous

I would stay there again mainly because Hassan was a great host and a kind person. Very close to main square (don't look at google map distance) My youngest son really really liked him. He is always smiling. On our way back from Merzouga he rushed to the car park himself to pick us up in case we get lost.  

In a different country  specially busy city like Marrakesh having a caring host is much more important than luxurious accommodation in my opinion.

Excellent host

We travelled to Marrakech in March and we decided to stay in this Riad is very nice Ryad and near to the big square Jemaa el fna the staff is very friendly thank you so much and if we back to Marrakech we will choose this Riad again

The Best Riad in Marrakech

We were so pleased with this riad! Obviously, you can’t beat the price. But the riad itself is very well kept, clean, and decorated tastefully. The breakfast in the morning was delicious - and the bed was the most comfortable we had in the country (we travelled for 9 days in Morocco)!! The location is a little out of the way - but really only about a 5-10 minute walk from the main square. Upon arrival Hassan (the owner) offers in his booking to have your taxi driver call him and he sends someone to come get you for only 3 euros. After that he gives very clear directions and will walk with you halfway to the square. Once you understand where to get around, it’s EASY to find the riad! Hassan also is such a sweet host. He gave GREAT recomendations and is always at the riad to direct you. Definitely take his advice on activities/hammam/food. He never led us astray!! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would go back!

Hidden gem

Great location and service oriented owner, me and my daughter enjoyed our stay. Near center, but far away enough to be silent and quiet in the evening. Great breakfast and delicious mint tea. The owner can help with your trip.

Great place to stay

Hassan was most helpful, and took time to show us landmarks/route to Medina/main square and back. He adviced us on what not to eat (Marrakech is too far from the sea for fish being a good plan) but other street foods are nice and a safe choice - he also advised us on how to deal with hopeful young boys offering to help us finding way.
