We had an incredible stay at Dar el Bali. The hotel is extremely well located in the haert of the Medina (the old town), and very accessible as it is located between the two main streets and near different entrances of the old town. Within the hotel itself it is super quiet and peaceful, with a lovely rooftop where we enjoyed drinks and beautiful sunsets. We have never met hosts that were as nice, welcoming and interesting as Michel, Cathy and Elodie. They know how to manage a hotel and how to make people feel at home. It was so interesting (and fun) to talk with them about a.o. the local culture and their experience as europeans in Morocco. They perfectly know how to keep a good balance between exchanging with guests (when the latter wish so) and respecting their privacy. The visits and travels were perfectly organised by Dar el Bali, just like reservations for diner and/or drinks at other places in Fès. However, we would recommend everyone to enjoy a diner (or more) at the hotel itself, because the cooking skills of the chef and the atmosphere in the patio are great. One of the stays that we have enjoyed the most during our many travels. Highly recommend the place.
