We were so pleased to find this hacienda style hotel outside of Navajo. It is safe clean and beautiful plus priced reasonably. We had a great time and the staff are hard working and friendly. We highly recommend this peaceful place. Thank you

Peaceful and safe

We stayed here on November 2nd on our way to Mazatlan.  What a quaint and adorable little hotel.  It was very quiet (not many guests), but the rooms were spotless and the garden settings, verandah and pool areas were beautiful.  We will always stay here going forward.  We never had breakfast because we left our early on our trip.

Adorable

Loved this quaint Mexican hotel with nice grounds for pets, friendly staff and large rooms. Simple decor. Safe for my blind 15 year old dog. Nice breakfast but not complementary. Quiet location and safe parking.

Great pet friendly hotel

Located in the city of Navojoa in the southern portion of the state of Sonora, about 600 miles (an 8 hour drive) south of Nogales, the HOTEL HACIENDA CAZADORES (formally the POSADA DE LOS CAZADORES - the inn of the hunters) is an outstanding architectural masterpiece depicting the design of a neo-Spanish colonial hacienda. The selection of building materials, the character of the structures, the design and integration of the gardens and selection of furnishings create an ambiance, an aura, a mood, a feeling of euphoria that defies both verbal and photographic description. For example, a photograph of Niagara Falls can not capture the majesty of the falls. This a perfect site in which to relax, recharge, dream or write a book. It is also a good place to stay if you plan to visit the old colonial city of Alamos, about an hour away. This is my favorite hotel in Mexico (ties with the Acapulco Princess and Las Brisas). My wife and I drove from southern California (about a 1,000 miles) to stay at this hotel to enjoy my 77th birthday. I have been coming to this hotel since 1978. At an exchange rate of 17.50 for the peso, one-night stay costs about $42. This is a unique, one-of-kind experience. 

ARCHITECTURAL MASTERPIECE - AMBIANCE AND ROMANCE DEFIES VERBAL AND PHOTOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTION

Stayed for one night on my way south. I loved the room, it was clean with traditional decor and style. The staff very friendly. There was issue with noise. The rooms not sound proof at all, so you can hear very clearly noise in close rooms or anyone talking outside. There were many dogs living in the vacant lot next door, so anytime I had my dogs out of the room, the next door dogs would start barking and running over, so not the best if you have dogs with you. Overall noise does not bother me, but when the staff start sweeping at 6:30 in the morning and it sounds like they are in your room, that was a bit much for me. I would probably stay there again, but only for a quick over nighter.

Quaint Hacienda

Spiders, scorpions and geckos in the room. Noisy highway and barking dogs. I did give it one star since the architecture was interesting but after seeing the creepy crawlies, I couldn't sleep so ended up back on the road by 3:30am. Not very rested.

Nightmare in Mexico!

I travel a lot. I stay in a lot of different types of lodging. You know a place is special when you keep thinking of it. This old hacienda is that place. This is how the real Mexico used to be. It is quiet, spotless, lovely; it smells of night blooming jasmine. It reminds me of the old haciendas in Michoacan, a time before OXXO and cell phones. Yes you can hear the whisper of the road. It sounds a lot like the ocean. I stayed in Number 5 next to the pool. I slept in complete tranquility. They have a restaurant for breakfast. If you miss the old Mexico like I do you will love this place. 

Tranquility in Old Mexico

A authentic experience at this well maintained Hacienda. The pool was beautiful, the gardens lovely. We'd stay again if in the area. It is close to the hwy, so light sleepers may not like that, but for us, after riding all day, a dip in the pool and we slept soundly.
