Baktun Hotel

This Hotel is simple in terms of the facilities but the service delivered by the two ladies running the place was impeccable: always friendly they would organise massages, tours, make excellent breakfasts. Thanks very much for having us Sara and Anto!

I just showed up at the hotel after looking in town a bit and got a room right away. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. I fell in love with the front lobby, it was so comfy and relaxing ah! Only spent one night unfortunately and the next morning has a sweet breakfast which was included. Lots of options, coffee, cereal, bread, fruit, tortillas, I smelled eggs cooking as well. I wish I spend more time there just so I could have breakfast everyday. The beach was so close to the hotel, you could see the beach standing beside the hotel, maybe 2 blocks. People working there were very nice and friendly. I would come here again for sure. Next door to it is the Ida y Vuelta Hostel and that one seemed nice as well, it's where I initially went looking for stay but the guys there told me about the Baktun, so we decided on the hotel. I would recommend both still. Always enjoy hostels for the variety of people in and out so if that's your thing then go for it, very nice vibes from both hotels.

I came to work for a couple of weeks. This is not your luxury hotel, but it is an affordable place, close to the beach and with a very friendly-ready to serve staff. There are some issues that need to be fixed, but management strives to do their best to accomodate all your needs. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it; if you are looking for perfection, this is not your hotel.

Very friendly and laid back, perfect for a quiet getaway!

Beware, this is the hotel many taxi drivers take you to when you ask for a recommendation at the dock.  The hotel is mediocre in terms of cleanliness and leaves much to be desired in terms of charm. Wireless was weak. For an equal or better experience at a similar or lower price, take a look around near the square, seek out a room with a hammock for the full Holbox experience!
