732 reviewsWe just returned from a relaxing and wonderful week at Isla Holbox. We stayed at Villas Delfines. I highly recommend this hotel for their friendly/helpful service (kudos to Ibrahim and Luis) and their bungalows (love the composting toilets and solar powered hot water). Cant beat it's location, It's located on a quiet and the most beautiful stretch of the beach. The Mantaray beach club is located next door where you can easily get fresh fish and drinks (the club respectfully close early so no worry about noise or music), and you can lie on their water hammocks. We enjoyed lunches and sunset cocktails at the club. We took taxis into town (40 pesos) and hotel will call taxis for you. We enjoyed walking to Punta Mosquito during low tide and eating at some excellent restaurants in town (just ask Ibrahim for where to eat). We were surprised by the great Italian food in town. Mosquitos were only an issue after sunset but mosquito repellent works great. Good breakfast at Villas Delfines. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant and we did not use the pool (too occupied by the beautiful beach). Enjoyed the beer selection at the hotel bar (esp. the local Pescadores IPAs). We will definitely stay at Villas Delfines again.
