Excellent hotel at affordable prices, with very friendly staff who are very helpful, close to the cathedral and many cafe bars. Stayed here on two occasions and enjoyed both times very much. Would definitely use this hotel again in the future, and recommend it to anybody.

Tell these owners it is 2015.  No body like smoking! and the owners yelling by the pool with their personal friends who visit is not profesional.  Rooms start with  the size of a match box and you have to close the door to get into bed. Not worth the money or inhalling 5 or 6 people smoking 2 meters from your room.

We choose this hotel because of a lack of choice in Champoton (but once arrived in town we realized that there are better choices). Although the staff was friendly, our stay was not pleasant at all. The room was very small and lackluster, and the bathroom was tiny (and rather dark, with a very small sink and mirror). But the main problem was the noise: The hotel is on the main route that is used by big trucks and hence the noise from the traffic stops only around 11pm and starts at 6am. In addition the hotel is on the corner of a “small” road that is constantly used by cars to make turnarounds. Finally we had the “chance” that several other rooms were taken by guests that partied loudly until 1am. When we complained about this, the manager make a weak attempt to calm things, but at no avail. Also the security was not a strong point since the security chain of the door was broken (and even when the door was closed there was a gap). Finally no more hot water after 8am... So if you want to party this is an ok place, but if you want to sleep we recommend to pick another hotel.

This small hotel in the small town of Champoton, on the west coast of the Yucatan peninsula, makes a convenient stopover between Palenque and Merida. The charming hotel owner speaks good English. Inside the carved wooden gate is a quaint courtyard with pool. We strolled Champoton's waterfront promenade after a great fish dinner in the restaurant across the street from the hotel.

for over 3 hours I listened to 3 women fighting with the female owner in the court yard next to the pool. I was using the internet and at a table about 8 feet from their table and at the same time these women were smoking in my face.  When I was about to go back to my room the owner male came and continued arguing with the same women.  I returned to my room, had a shower and when I was done, the group, now about 8 people all who seemed to be family of the owners were fighting in the court yard.  I felt embarrassed beyond belief and stuck my head out the door to say I was done and not happy to have listened to this crap!.  never again.. especially when there are two other brand new hotels for the same price that the rooms are double in size for the same price and no yelling.
