db San Antonio Hotel & Spa - All Inclusive

Stayed for a week 3-10 May, great holiday. First time in Malta and enjoyed it and the hotel was great. Staff really friendly, we had pre booked the AI plus and we were really glad we did, as a couple the lounge was really relaxing and cocktails were great, staff went above and beyond for you, special mention to Prakash, Phurba and Puskar in the lounge and Anis the egg chef, what a great bunch of guys so lovely and friendly and really looked after us. We had breakfast in the lounge every day, then mid afternoon snacks, delicious beautifully made sandwiches and capones before evening meal. We just wanted a relax so the plus made this perfect for us. We didn’t use many of the other facilities or entertainment just relaxed and enjoyed the food and drinks. We dined at Salia twice it was fantastic, our waiter Brahim (hope I’ve spelt it correct) what a lovely guy and Dipak. We tried all the restaurants and only used the buffet on the first night as we personally prefer it quieter. We had some lovely bottles of local wine and enjoyed a glass in our room and prosecco and bottled water, it’s really worth upgrading it for that if you like wine and port etc. We had a nice family room on the 6th floor with pool and sea view nearer to the sea which was perfect, you need a room with. An even number to be facing the sea. We loved the rooftop pool, was a shame the bar wasn’t open but looked like it will be nice after the renovations, they were quite discreet doing the works, didn’t really disturb us. A great stay I hope they keep up the good standards of the hotel. We spoke to the manager Paulo on leaving with a couple of positive suggestions of improvements for speedier check in and out etc to ensure guests have the best experience. I would recommend and would consider returning if we visit Malta again. I thought it was really great that they allow you to use your AI services until you head to the airport as we only flew 9pm home but we only arrived 9pm so I think that’s fair but it saves any hassle I really hope the hotel keeps this up, it’s all about things like this that make places great.
