7 reviewsWe traveled from Tokyo for a night of respite in the Mt Fuji area. We found this adorable Villa and had to book a room. Unfortunately we came in the off season and on a weekend and weren't able to take a bus to the villa. We walked approx 30 minutes from the main bus station in Yamanaka to the villa, that was the only problem we found. We were warmly greeted by the owners when we arrived. Check in was quick and we were shown to our room. We had 3 traditional beds, a kitchenette and full private bathroom. The shower room and toilet room were separate as in most Japanese homes. The kitchenette was stocked with pots and pans, utensils and a small stove and refrigerator. We were provided bikes free of charge and spent the afternoon riding around the lake. It rained and was cloudy so we didn't get a clear view of Fuji but the lake was beautiful. There are some small shops, restaurants and a 7/11 in the area. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast made by the owners for an additional 500 yen and it was well worth the money. After breakfast the owner kindly drove us back to the train station to catch our bus. The couple that owns this villa is very hospitable and friendly. We loved our stay here and wished we booked for longer. Everything was very clean and the area was very quiet.
