113 reviewsThe hotel is very well maintained and service level is impeccable. Hotel staff speak very limited English so communication might be a challenge. Not surprise to find that hotel guests are mostly Japanese people. Our room was traditional Japanese style (ryokan). It was a smoking room but when we told the hotel we don't smoke, they deodorised the room prior to our arrival. Free wifi is only available in the reception area. We had the Japanese kaiseki dinner and it was quite a spread. Onsen was also good - there is an indoor and outdoor bath. Not sure about other rooms but mine did not have a shower so we had to wash up at the communal baths in the onsen area - not a problem for us as we enjoy onsens. Hotel also provides ski rentals and free shuttle services to the ski resort and bus terminal. A good stay!
