Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel

Very efficient check-in and friendly welcome by Kim after a long day at DisneySea. Thank you Kim for also recognising our ‘VIP’ status with Expedia and ensuring we got the associated benefits. I was initially concerned this hotel would be too far out from main areas of Tokyo but that’s the thing about Tokyo; it’s so big with its landmarks and attractions spread across different areas there is one good location to stay. All I can say about this hotel is that it was in a more peaceful/ quiet part of the city within minutes of a train station that can connect you anywhere else within the city. Especially with it being three stops from Tokyo’s main station. There is an onsite Family Mart and a couple of nearby supermarkets and restaurants. The room’s style, comfort, layout and size was excellent. Many Japanese hotels have separate single beds however here we had a lovely king bed and a double pull out sofa bed for our daughter. There was a separate toilet room and shower room which also had a deep full sized bath. Everything in the room was up together and in working order and the room service and cleaning was good also. Fresh bottles of water given every day. Also if you have forgotten other things like a comb, toothbrush or even moisturiser- they have some available at reception for you. Facilities wise this hotel has a big hot public bath (not swimming pool) for each sex. You have to use the public baths naked so won’t be for everyone and swim wear of any kind is not allowed. To summarise it was a lovely hotel in a good location and we really enjoyed our stay.
