Business Hotel Ojiro

I booked this hotel because most others were fully booked due to a major fireworks festival in Fukuroi. The Makinohara village is small and the hotel is hidden somewhere. I had no expectations of any standard, but I was very wrong. Even though the hotel has few rooms, the owner treated me like a celebrity, in a true Japanese way: respectful, unassuming but incredibly hospitable and generous. I was fed in the restaurant, even though it was officially closed for holiday, I was driven to the train station free of charge, and the last night in the hotel, the owner offered me an amazing Sushi dinner free of charge. He has never seen me before, had no idea who I am and what I do there, but he did it completely out of his heart's goodness. The hotel is clean, only 100 m from the beach, and the staff will treat you like family.
