Hotel Yume-no-yu

We needed a place to stay at the end of our alpine route and we wanted to experience ryokan style hotel so we opted for Hotel Yumenoyu. There 5 of us and 1 toddler, the room given to us was in the 2nd floor, it was quite spacious for us. It seems like 2 rooms were combined into one, as there is 2 bathroom and 2 doors. We opted for the half board option. We had sukiyaki set meal for dinner and Japanese style breakfast set. The foods were excellent and the service was very accommodating. The lady in the front office was very nice despite her limited english. We had a good soak in the onsen at night and in the morning. There were not many people in the hotel, so we got the whole onsen for ourselves both times! There is a shuttle bus from the bus station to the hotel or you can walk about 9 minutes to the hotel and the walk is quite a pretty sight. To get the shuttle bus, just visit the information desk across the road of the station and they will call the hotel for you! If you have time walk around to explore the area. There was a gyoza shop at the end of the road that was quite yummy. Overall, we had such a good time here and I really recommend this hotel if you ever in the area.
