24 reviewsWhere to start- this was such a great accommodation, I felt compelled to review if others are deciding on a place to stay in Nozawaonsen. Kimmie was a great host and was very patient and diligent in answering any of our questions. Her English far rivaled our Japanese. A small language barrier existed, but we were able to use translation apps to effectively communicate in those few instances. The breakfast was excellent. We visited Kyoto and Tokyo following our stay in Nozawaonsen, and I can say with certainty our breakfasts in Nozawaonsen were hands down the best. Some others were double the price and half as good. Everything we ate was thoughtfully prepared and just enough. Per tradition we had many small dishes with a plentiful side of rice that sustained our hunger through hours of skiing that would follow. For skiing, she gave us a discount coupon to use at the rental shop directly across the street from the main lift and she gave us a ride to the mountain each morning!
