Most of the tourists stay on the other side of the lake where it is the station and the town, therefore, that side is very crowded. To stay at E-Joy was the best decision ever! They will pick you up at the station, so you don’t have to worry to find the place or spend in a taxi, that’s super convenient! 

The area of the hotel is where you can get the best views of the Fuji! There you can find small shops, restaurants, and supermarkets, so you’ll have everything you need but in a very quiet atmosphere, between the lake and the forest, ideal for relaxing and unwinding from Japan big cities.

They provide free bicycles, so you can get around very easily. We loved to bike by the lake with the forest fresh air!

The hotel is super warm and cozy, we could spend an entire afternoon just reading in the common area, which is very bright and homey and have lovely views to the forest. 

You have free coffee and tea all day, as well as access to the kitchen, fridge, stove, and microwave, so it’s very easy to make your own food if you wish.

Breakfast was delicious, and we highly recommend that you have dinner at their restaurant. It’s the most convenient option after a day exploring and their food is just superb!!

The staff is also the best, super warm and helpful. They received us with a very warm welcome and they were very helpful showing us around, giving us tips to explore, providing maps, and so on. They speak very good English!

Do not hesitate to stay here if you’re looking for feeling at home and having the best views of Mt. Fuji a few minutes from your doorstep!

Perfect location to enjoy Mt. Fuji in a very relaxed atmosphere!

We loved our stay here. The hotel had a relaxing vibe, with lots of nature nearby, the staff was super warm and attentive. We felt at home.
If you stay here, we would recommend to eat at their restaurant. The food was amazing. You can also buy some instant noodles or snacks from them if you want something quick to eat.
They provide free bikes, which is a safe and fun way to get around. The nearest viewpoint is for us the most beautiful one. It’s just a few minutes away.
It’s better to stay in this side of the lake because you get a better view. Also, it’s more relaxing.
I would definitely stay here again. Totally recommend it!

Relaxing comfy place a few minutes away to a breathtaking view

The manager was extremely nice and helpful to us. The hostel is in a quiet and scenic location, with many nice (breakfast and lunch) restaurants and Fuji/lake viewing points a short bike ride away. The hostel has many free bikes for you to use. Dinner at a restaurant would be quite difficult without a car given nothing is close but this was not a problem for us since there's a fridge, microwave and boiling water. The manager was very generous with the shuttle bus and the city bus stop is very close by but comes infrequently.

A great, relaxing stay

The hostel was a great quiet place, from where we visited the close by town and enjoyed a beautiful view of mount Fuji. Staff was super friendly. Also breakfast was great and the opportunity to use the bycicles made visiting the lake really nice! 

Great place to stay near Fuji! 

The hosts are really nice and friendly. He came to pick us up and at the end of our trip he bought our bags to the station so we could enjoy our biking trip. 
The room was clean the bathroom was small but oke. 
It's a lovely stay if you like peace and quiet. However is far from the city center and the busses to the hotel only operate until 6pm. So if you want to have a drink or something to eat in the evening and you don't have a car you will need to take a (expensive) cab . 
Overall it was a great experience!
