It's like how you see it in brochures or postcard. Colorful flower plantations in a bright sunny day after a long drive did give some feast for the eye. A little too commercial though, and plenty of tourists make the area less genuine. 

This B&B is operated by Taiwanese. The house has 6 rooms for 3-4 pax each room. The staffs are friendly. The view outside the house is great. I booked via their Taiwan HQ because special arrangement for my grandmother. Booking process is smooth and took 3 days included payment and confirmation. The stay cost is headcount basis. The basis cost covers one breakfast and private hot spring bath.

Auberge Adagio in Biei-Hokkaido is a very nice small first class boutique style Inn. We received very personal service and dinner and breakfast were superb. It is a country style place in a very quiet setting. 

We stayed one night in this B&B and it felt very homely. We drove in from Asahikawa and we had no problems finding the place due to the B&B sharing the mapcode with us.The property had a very European forest feel to it, sort of tucked in behind the trees and beyond it is surrounded by the picturesque Patchwork Road area.

Upon arrival, we were treated with some snacks and tea as we admired the Patchwork Road area from the dining room. Our assigned room was upstairs and the door had a picture of our family taken during our arrival. The room was simple - it had a wall-mounted CD player, attached WC and bath and two beds (one super single and one queen-sized). There was no TV but there is free wifi.

Dining was simple and home-cooked. Our dinner and breakfast were locally prepared and we had no issues with the dishes. 

Overall, very comfortable stay. A place to return to should we re-visit Biei in the future.

Accommodation like a fairytale house. In the dark, snowy and windy when we arrived but in house is difference atmosphere. It was very lovely and warm. Staffs and chef are Taiwanese and good communicated in English. They are very good services mind. We got the full course dinner from local material in Hokkaido. Every dishes, they explained about ingredients. We feel like to go to visit our relative’ s house. I like to sit and see view from the window in the living room and listen the song that they opened. We are very impressed here.

We booked a room directly through their website and the staff responded very quickly via email. All staff could speak Japanese, English and Chinese, which seems to be very popular amongst Asian travellers. The room is quite big with a balcony and a small bathroom, what’s nice is that we could book to use the public hot bath. The pension is quite remote and around 10-minute drive from Biei center. No TV in the room but they have free wifi. One tip is to arrange dinner at Auberge Adagio or eat early as most of the local restaurants close before 8pm.
