Hotaka Town Hotel

As a Japanese citizen, I'd stayed in "Hotaka Town Hotel" from 1 through 3 Sep 2012 for 2 nights. By car it is convenient to reach because this hotel is located on a main street, "Route 147". But if by walk, it takes 20 minutes and you'd need to take a taxi from the nearest JR station "Hotaka". Free Internet connection in a room (LAN Cable only available/Wireless is not provided) is good. You can rent a LAN cable without extra charge. The room size is standard for me, like a Japanese people, but a bit too small including the shower/toilet if you're westerner travelers and know the western standard international hotel. This hotel is just a "City Hotel" and not for the international standard tourists . For example, signs almost are written in a Japanese language only. Receptionists may speak the Japanese language only, too. If you approach the reception desk, you'd need to push the bell to call them and the receptionists will be coming to help you. It does not mean they are not attentive. It is in a rural area located and I felt it would be acceptable because I was not stared at by them when I passed through the reception desk to go outside or return to the hotel. The receptionists are friendly and willing to let you know where you should go by maps even if they do not speak English (well). For eating, you'd need to go to the restaurant by car or by taxi for 5 minutes ride. Don't expect too much there but think the purpose to sleep only. I will return to this hotel because it is easy to reach located on the main street "Route 147".
