Spectacular location as you can see in my photos. Gold medal service award to Damali who was constantly keeping my brother and I happy. He also gave me a private tour down to the ocean through an amazing cave located on the property.Great restaurant right next door. Thank you Aunt Mae You have an incredible place and a fantastic team helping us. A true gem in Negril at a fraction of the cost right next door. Very safe,beautiful balcony and views ,Clean comfortable room Top service marks. Bless up Damali and Aunt Mae xoxo

Around Jamaica in 10 Days # 8

stayed here for 2 days, Ms. May was a very friendly and nice person she welcome her guest and explain the law of the property to you, every morning she make sure all is good with your stay, not to talk about the security - security to the higher power.  I would recommend this place and would defenately stay here again

My husband and I stayed here in January. I don't know what all the other reviews are about. We booked our back in September and paid up front, which was clearly stated in multiple emails I sent back and forth. My husband and I like to do things on our own time and don't need anything fancy.

We had a simple room and yes the bathroom had no door. But we are married! Who the heck cares!!! It was a decent room with a more than spectacular view! Aunt May, the owner,  was the sweetest woman ever. We talked to her often and we Snorkeled many times from her property. We fished late at night with Junior who told us the most hilarious stories. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the cliff side. We could jump right from our place into the ocean, which we did. Please don't let these other reviews mislead you. We had the BEST time. And yes it's a bit noisy at night, but it was tolerable. 

Just perfect

First I was accused by the Grandmother that we had not paid for our rooms. Then the Owner accused us of the same. Then we showed them the Credit Card charges and whoops, he had a new account and yes indeed we had paid and it was their fault. Got a small apology from the owner, non from the Grandmother. Also, cost per night was not worth it. After 30 years of visiting Negril and working there, there are to many room options available in the same area for less. All we can say is that it is in a good location. The view is good.Outside of that- nothing.

Not worth the time

My wife and I visited this hotel in February, 2016.  This was one of the very few lodgings in Negril available on such short notice, but the ratings seemed good.  It is located on a spectacular cliff (no beach) on the West Side of Negril.  When we arrived, we were greeted (?) by an older lady who asked what we wanted in a gruff tone.  We said we had reservations, but she said we didn't.  It turned out that we missed the note on the website that says you must pay in advance with Paypal.  In any event, she said reluctantly that we could stay.  We were led to our room, the first at the top of the stairs (all four rooms are on the second floor).

At first glance, the room is very small, with two single beds and a wardrobe, and a small cooler (no TV).  The next thing we noticed is that the tiny bathroom in the corner has no door or even a curtain. The toilet sits at the entrance to the bathroom in full view of the living area.  We decided that if one of us had to use the toilet, the other would go outside for a few minutes. In the morning, there was minimal water pressure and no hot water, so we had to sponge-bathe.

As for the grounds, the hotel, which doesn't appear to be finished, sits back from the cliff and there is a large open patio between the building and the cliff.  The views from the cliff are spectacular and scary, with the waves crashing against the cliff with astonishing power and noise.

Since the hotel is on the narrow, winding road, there is very limited parking.  And, road noise is relentless (mostly from taxis) until late into the evening.  Once the taxis stop, it is fairly quiet.

We didn't see the older woman again, thankfully, but an equally aggressive younger man came in the morning to collect our money, and added on another $10 (for his trouble?).  We were very happy to leave this place once and for all.

In general,  this lodging is not well equipped and is poorly run, not to mention overly expensive (a cheap room at a Motel 6 in the U.S. would put this place to shame.  And, if you have young children, I strongly advise that you stay elsewhere.  There is no protection on the patio against falling over the cliff--no fence, no railing.  Negril lodgings are typically overpriced, but this one takes the cake.  If you want a pleasant stay in Negril, be prepared to pay out $150 or more per night (and be sure to stay where they serve breakfast, unless you want to dine at Burger King).
