After reading all the previous reviews and spending 5 splending night at Garni Norma I can say that this charming apline hotel has been hugely underrated on TA. First of all let me say that the owners are extremely nice and manage the hotel very well. They helped us with all our questions, were always on hand, and honored every request we had. The rooms were extremely clean and cozy (typical alpine style). The breakfast was nice as well. It features delicious coffee and tea, cold meat and cheese cuts, cereal, fruits, pastries, and home baked cake made fresh every day. Other features of the hotel that we loved included the heated ski boot rack and convenient ski room in the garage, which was just across from the bus stop that takes you directly to all the ski lifts (very convenient for a ski holiday). Across the street you also have Hotel Gianna, which has an excellent spa and massage treatments, which can be easily booked and visited from Garni Norma. The hotel also features pleanty of parking so you won't struggle to park you car. It is about a 10 minute walk to the absolute town center or a 5 minute bus ride (quite manageable distance even with sub zero temperatures during winter). However, there were a few small niggles that need improvement. First, although the WIFI worked great in the common areas it did not reach all the way up to our room (#111) on the top floor. We are not sure if this is the case for every room, but a signal booster device would help greatly in this respect. The second niggle was with the TV signal. The picture and sound of some of the channels were quite choppy. Perhaps it was just a tuning issue. It didn't bother us too much as most channels were in Italian anyways. Thirdly, the heating is probably set on a central timer and at some points it cuts out, which means that the room can cool down in the afternoon and in the morning. Finally, the walls don't have the best sound insulation so hope for quite neighbours. We were lucky and for the most part had no noise complains. Even with these small niggles we felt that Narni Norma offered great value for money and pleanty of charm and friendly service.

Underrated and excellent!

Very friendly clean good location good breakfast with good variety. Spacious rooms. Nice owners. Relaxing atmosphere. We had a good time there. The autobus for the ski lifts passes outside the hotel. 😊

Skiing holiday

I've stayed 5 nights here and been very well looked after. 

Norina is very hard working and welcoming and looks after everyone (even speaking a variety of languages at each table)! 

The hotel is well situated and exceptionally clean. 

The perfect place for a simple B&B after a hard days skiing!

Excellent service, no frills hotel!

I booked Hotel Garni Norma as they adhere to the tourist board special offer of B&B including ski-pass which is a big saving. Norina and her husband were welcoming, friendly and couldn't have done enough to help with information on ski buses, where to get the ski pass and a whole lot of other things including a very good restaurant recommendation. 
The hotel is in a quiet position just out of the centre but the ski bus stops outside and in the evenings a brisk 7 minute walk is all you need to get to the centre. The rooms are nice and comfortable and exceptionally clean. Good breakfast, I was offered eggs but declined, and an added bonus free wi-fi in the reception area. 
If you want a no frills good value holiday this is for you, as most of the other hotels are much pricier.

Good value, friendly owners

We stopped by here on a motorbiking trip. Very good rooms with comfortable beds. The location is great, far enou away from the centre of town to avoid any noise, close enough to stroll to the centre in 10 minutes or less. There is some excellent mountain trekking very nearby. Just be carefull of the little dog in the reception area, he looks cute but he's best left alone !
