Hotel Prnbacher

Although Hotel Pörnbacher is just beside the local train station this is not a disadvantage. We could rather say it is a good thing as it gives you opportunity to use train for transport to the different parts of Alto Adige or to other skiing areas using SuperSki Dolomiti pass. Ski bus is also very near and you can chose from the one in front of the hotel and the one in front of the train station (goes more often). But lets go back to the hotel it self. Very friendly hosts and Family run hotel gives this hotel certain warmth. It is not a high class hotel but it has most of the things you need. Lobby and the entrance area with restaurants are quite new decorated in typical Tirolean style. Hotel has only three floors and you can easily reach your room on foot with no need for elevator which is also on your disposal. Room 224 has old furniture which is from the early eighties or late seventies and this is the only thing which gives this hotel lower grade. It is nice and clean but the rooms are quite small. Wardrobe in the room is getting open by itself if you do not lock it and you have to watch not to hit sealing lamp with the door while you are reaching for your things inside the wardrobe. There is no hair drier, so bring your own. Table in the room is quite small, so do not expect that you will be able to work on it if you need some space. Heating has been working good so you could dry your skiing gloves and rest of your outfit if you where skiing. All in all it is quite a good accommodation for overnight sleep and some evening talking with your friends after dinner. Rest of the day you will spend skiing or mountaineering so it is not essential to have some special luxurious rooms or else. In the basement you can fins a Jacuzzi and finish sauna. You can also find a room with table tennis (bring your own rackets as those which are there have seen better days). For skiers there is also a ski room for your skies and ski boots which can be heated in that room.
