Sometimes we chose to not book beforehand when we travel. This night we tried four hotels (all fully booked) before we found Vilpianerhof. It looked expensive and their normal prices are high. Due to us booking the last room we got a free five-course dinner included in the room charge of 182 Euros for a double room with breakfast. A free meal can make anyone happy, but the ambiance and the room quality made us even happier. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was one of the most extensive we have seen. As wine lovers we also appreciated the extensive wine list. But the next time we go to Alto Adige we will book in advance.
