Very nice apartment, clean and spacious. Quiet surroundings, perfect place to relax. Nice swimming pool. Wifi works fine, airconditioning in every room was convenient because it was very hot outside.
5 minute drive from Squinzano. Not too far from places like Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto.
Louisa is a good host, friendly and available for questions.
Some room for improvement: beds in the second bedroom are (too) soft (although we didn't use them ourselves), kitchen equipment is pretty basic.
Would definitely recommend Tenuta Afra!

Lovely place to stay

The location of the place is just beautiful, making every evening a wonderful experience as the sun sets. For an even more relaxing evening, the pool satisfies that missing piece of perfection. The hosts were completely amazing, making sure we were all well accommodated. It’s about 15 minutes away from Lecce, and a few minutes away from the best pasticcerie in the Puglia region. Me and my friends highly recommend it.

Beautiful experience

We had a fantastic holiday at the very beautiful Tenuta Afra. Our host, Luisa, could not have done more. We were greeted with a welcome basket of goodies, including the most amazing (and very addictive cakes). The large ex farm is set amongst an olive grove that stretches as far as the eyes can see. The place is split into 3 apartments, ours was very spacious, 2 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen/diner. The pool was excellent, and it was good to have other families staying so our kids could play together. As said, Luisa was exceptional, organising a doctor when i came down with an ear infection. The villa is very close to Squinzano, with a decent enough supermarket, and Lecce is a very close drive, with its excellent restaurants, and historical architecture. All in all, couldn't have asked for more.

Great holiday in southern Italy

Very warm welcoming by the di Pierro family with basket of great local and homemade products for tasting. All comfort included in renovated farmhouse with nice new swimming pool in olive tree landscape. Perfect central air conditioning for great sleeping in the hot south of Italy. Very close to the beautiful Lecce.

Excellent!

We spent a memorable week at the Tenuta Afra, an enchanted place amidst an olive grove in Salento. The place is a marvel in itself: if you wake up early you can admire the sunrise and the change from the sound of the  hoopoe to the all day long concert of the cicadas. In the evening you can enjoy a fresh breeze in the terrace. All of the three apartments are very generously sized, with solid wood furniture and care for every single detail. The owners have been very welcoming, hospitable and extremely kind and attentive to all our needs, even anticipating our possible requests. Squinzano is at 10 minutes drive from the Adriatic coast but also the Ionian can be reached in a short time, and so you can choose the best beach taking into account the direction of the wind and your preference for calm or wavy waters.  Whatever the choice, the sea is crystal clear. We miss this place!

Some days to remember...

We stayed at Tenuta Afra for 3 nights only but wished we booked for longer! The place is very easy to find and Giulia and her sisters are very kind and helpful. We stayed in Lu Farnaru and the flat was perfect for a family of 4 with 2 bedrooms, a nice living room and everything you need in the kitchen. Everything was brand new and decorated with taste as the owners tried to keep the charm of the 18th century Tenuta. If you are looking for quietness (you wake up to endless olive trees every morning!) and don't mind driving around (but beaches and Lecce are very close) this is the place to go. I would definitely recommend it and we will go again! Thanks Giulia !!
