Hotel Hofbrunn

Not very far from Meran you can find the hotel Hofbrunn. From the street it doesn't look very impressive but from inside you will be surprised. Most of the rooms have a generous balcony looking at the lovely valley of Meran. The rooms in the upper level directly under the roof offer you a really high selling which is very lovely. The hotel is new renovated, a typical wood style of the region combined with modern bathrooms, light and friendly colors and big windows. A generous garden terrace invites you to rest, a chessboard waits for a game and the pool is not the common little water pond, but a real grownup pool where sporty swimmers can really work out. The breakfast is from 7 to 11 am and quite generous, though the regular coffee isn't really something for coffee lovers. But you can ask the waiters for espresso or cappuccino and you will get a good cup of decent Coffee - with no surcharge! Ask for water at check in though there is no minibar, nor water provided at the rooms. I'd like to have this in a four star hotel and this little service would fit perfectly to the rest of the hotel concept. Nearly every day is one activity provided as trekking to the near natural beauty spots. The staff is friendly and very welcoming their guests. Last tip: ask for the possibility of a late checkout. Regular time is noon, which is a bit early for a leisure hotel.
