30 reviewsWe couldn't have had a better start to our Apulian adventure and the Salento region. The standard of the accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean, with everything you could wish for. The breakfast by Italian standards was really good with a welcome fresh Pasticcioto every morning which was a lovely touch. Along with the good standard of accommodation came good service with Andrea the host. Nothing was to much trouble for him, from turning up early so we could check in ahead of time , restaurant reservations, beach recommendations dependent on weather , tourists sites, parking in cities, you mention it he would research it and send all information by whatsapp. to avoid the language barrier. The town itself is not touristy but that was lovely as you had a feeling you were amongst the locals, they were all really friendly and we were even invited to share birthday cake and prosecco with a family in the local restaurant, with a teenaager transalating for us. There is not much choice when it comes to restaurant but Andreas recommendation for the Small Cucina was fabulous, a real find and to be honest we had 10 days in Apulia and the Small Cucina gave them a good run for their money and was a lot more reasonable. The location is idea for visiting the Salento region with a car with easy access to major roads and the possibility of heading east or west for the beaches depending on the weather. Thank you Andrea for making our first stay in Apulian so memorable.
