Longvale House

A family member had stayed here previously when Doris Russo owned it and stated the location was 'Out of this World.' Plans were being made to visit when the Waterfall and setting was badly damaged by flooding in August 2017. I was thrilled when the stars and sun aligned and Sonia had availability over the October Bank Holiday. The location is ' Out of this World' I was absolutely mesmerized as I parked my vehicle and viewed the Uris Hills across from the front of Glen House B & B, in a moment Sonia opened the front door and warmly welcomed me to Glen House. In no time I was seated in the Sitting room with a pot of tea and treats in front of me, after a bit of refreshment, I soon was settling into a lovely bedroom upstairs overlooking the path to Glenevin Waterfall, I quickly changed my footwear and off I went with my camera in hand to explore this gorgeous location, It was everything and more, within the hour I was back and decided to take a short rest before heading out to dine. Not a sound heard in the room, my head hit the wonderful pillows and I was out for the count. On Sonia's suggestion I dined at the Rusty Nail a few minutes down the road, wonderful meal. The breakfast offerings at Glen House are out of this world, I was able to request small portion sizes with no problem. I started off with a wonderful pot of tea, yogurt and fresh fruit, porridge, adding in nuts / seeds and muesli, smoked salmon and fresh scrabbled eggs, along with baskets of toasted brown bread and muffins. I did observe other guests with the full Irish, however, during my stay, I requested the same breakfast every day, absolutely delicious. Each day I re - explored different areas on the Inishowen Peninsula, which has a number of stunningly beautiful beaches and the Coastal area from Malin Head down through Moville > Muff, just spectacular.
