Mark and Deb were very nice hosts! Everything was clear and the house was amazing. The breakfast was rich and healthy! 
They helped us with where to eat and get some beers :-)
 I hope we get back to Mark and Dee again some day! 

Mark and Dee have a beautiful home, and every element feels put together with care and thought to provide a serene, comfortable, delightful, and personalized experience. I was welcomed with a hand-drawn area map and spot-on recommendations. 

The Villa is perfectly located between Salthill and Galway City, with bohemian West Galway in between; I walked comfortably everywhere. My room was exquisitely comfortable, quiet, and spotless. Gorgeous art, from paintings by Irish artists to sculptures from West Africa, is everywhere.

Mark’s breakfasts in the light-filled dining room are also art, from the perfect coffee to the changing blend of the fresh fruit bowl to the yummy full Irish breakfast. I so enjoyed conversations with fellow travelers, and especially Mark’s warmth, wisdom and humor. I took advantage of his recommendations in Galway – if you can make the day trip to Innismaan, it is unforgettable, and the Saturday market is charming and fun – and left knowing much more about Ireland, art, and music. 

Mark and Dee go above and beyond to ensure that everyone has what they need to enjoy their time on the beautiful West coast. If you are going to Galway, this is the place to be.

We just completed a two night stay at Norman Villa. If you are planning a trip to Galway and have the opportunity to book this bed-and-breakfast, I say book it right away.   The rooms are beautiful.  At one time the home was an art gallery and everywhere you look has a beautiful piece of art. 

Mark and Dee will ensure that your visit is perfect. They will help you with local  travel plans, dining reservations   and breakfast Is fabulous. The bathrooms are completely up to date and even have sinks that mixthe hot and cold water together. Something you don’t see very often in Ireland.😊

The location is good as well. It’s a little outside of the City Center, Galway but easily walkable. And it’s a nice walk to the Irish Sea. Mark will also give you recommendations for dining in either direction.

So if your travel plans take you to Galway, we highly recommend that you book at Norman Villa.

My wife and I recently had the great pleasure of staying at the Norman Villa in Salthill.  The location is perfect for going into the most fun parts of Galway and for exploring beautiful Connemara. Galway center and the Salthill promenade are both within easy walking distance as are the many pubs, restaurants and landmarks.   Mark and his wife D are fabulous hosts who make you feel as if you were a member of their family.  Breakfasts were spectacular.  Mark provided many great places to eat and explore.  The townhouse is great and filled with beautiful original artwork collected by the owners.  We would definitely return to this wonderful place again.

We stayed with Mark in early September 2018. The bedrooms are comfortable albeit very small (bathroom is 7' x 3') with a firm mattress. 

Breakfast was very good and made to order by Mark himself. Mark provides sound advice when requested.

A point for improvement: when confirming reservations and asking questions prior to arrival, Mark does not respond. Something to consider going forward.
