I had the pleasure of working with Patrick to run an event in the Buttermarket over the Easter bank holiday weekend. He couldn’t have been more helpful and the room was perfect for what I needed. 
The decor, food and our lovely bartender made the night great success and I can’t recommend enough!

Stayed here for a family event and it was just the lovliest experience. The refurbished bedrooms are gorgeous, roomy, bright, a super comfortable bed and a huge shower.  Very good food, not fancy but well prepared and served and really tasty. But it was the staff that made our stay, every single person we met was friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely want to make their guests happy. It's a traditional country town hotel, not as smart or modern as new hotels, but honestly the better for it. It is spotless, well run and really a great place to stay or to hold an event. 

We had our Son Christening here last weekend in our own private function room . Food was absolutely fabulous not to be faulted . Staff were more than helpful and very friendly and polite. The fucntion room (buttermarket) was perfect size for a close family gathering, room was warm and well set up for us . All the staff in the Creighton were more than happy to help and no request was to much ..  Thank Yous . Rachael 

My sisters, other family members and I traveled from England to Ireland at short notice to attend our late mother's funeral. We stayed at the characterful, period Creighton Hotel in Clones. We also held a reception after our mother's funeral in one of the hotel's excellent function rooms for people who attended the funeral. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel's owners, Edel and Patrick or their very considerate and attentive staff.  It was clear that this is a family owned and run business of longstanding. You were made to feel welcome and put at ease. It felt like a home from home. The bed rooms were first rate. The food was excellent with a menu to cater for a range of tastes. The Creighton is very conveniently located at the centre of Clones with an excellent road network to Monaghan, Fermanagh and further afield. It punches well above it's weight and star rating. I would stay there again without hesitation. I would recommend it to the discerning person who is looking for that extra bit touch of class combined with a homely down to earth feel. There was a good mixture of guests from the locality along with others who had travelled from further afield to stay at it or to use it's facilities. I didn't hear any of them say a bad word about it.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel in the center of Clones, a quaint little town in County Monaghan. We were visiting family in the area and there are relatively few hotels available in town, but this one was recommended to us. The town is very small and walkable, so it was easy to get to various local pubs, restaurants, etc. The person at the hotel front desk gave us a brochure for a self-guided walking tour of downtown Clones, which was a nice way to pass an hour of time before dinner. Our room was comfortable. It was fun to stay in a 19th century building with real character and charm. 

Just back from attending a party in the Creighton Hotel on Saturday night.  We had a great stay.  Everything was just great and no negatives.  Stayed two nights.  Staff are very friendly and very professional.  Nothing is too much bother for them.  

The owners Edel and Patrick are hands on and ensure that everything is perfect.  Food is excellent and consistent whether it was breakfast, dinner or the food at the party.  Our room was very nice and everything worked.   Very clean. 

The hotel itself is interesting having very tastefully incorporated  buildings from the old 'Butter Yard' (which is where the party was held).  If we have another occasion to visit Clones we will definitely stay in the Creighton Hotel

Had the delight of attending a Hens party here on Saturday night . Food was fab and so was the cocktail making session. The staff were extremely friendly as was the manager Patrick . Will certainly be paying another visit to this hotel .

Was a guest at a wedding and could not recommend it any higher .. was a fantastic day and this was due the the professional nature of the staff who worked fantastically to make sure all worked out ok ..food was also brilliant and all guests raved about it 

I was here on friday for a family wedding and one of the last wedding before lock down, it was so intamate and special and a wedding we will never forget. 
From beginning  to next morning fantastic, food was fab and breakfast was great, staff were so helpful and kind. 
Thank you all for making the day/night/morning unforgettable  , for only a 25 person wedding it was perfect. 


We had a family meal here on New Years Day to commemorate a 10th Anniversary meal for my late husband's passing.We were a group of 38 people 7 of whom were children.We had our own event room with a bar.They seated the children seperately.We had a sit down meal with  a hot food buffet service.It was excellent.The children were served their choice of meal also.We had a cake for dessert.They cut it for us and served it with tea and coffee. The service was first class.The management and servers could not do enough for us and every request was met with friendliness and effeciency.I  would highly recommend The Creighton for a family event.You will not be disappointed.
