Townhouse tullamore exceeded our expectations above and beyond..we were welcomed and treated absolutely amazingly 👏 the staff here are fantastic we have no other words. They let us set up our area for our child's communion  with balloons etc, the food was unreal 👌 the hospitality was 2nd to none..we have never seen a team of staff work so well. Ye should be very proud of yerselves well done 👏

The Town House Tullamore Ireland is a special Pub - we dined there on the 29th of July. It had screens dividing the tables. We were asked for our Vaccination confirmation. For Starters I had breaded mushrooms with salad, my partner had a lovely salad - For Mains we had Battered Fish, peas and chips-it was fantastic - the staff were so friendly 


Had full Irish breakfast  there this morning with my adult niece. We both loved it. Food cooked to order and served with toast and soda bread. Coffee topped up without having to ask. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would return and would recommend to friends.

A Beautiful Meal

Lovely Irish breakast

I was surprised at the food offering and the quality. 

I thought the menu on offer had not a good variety while I appreciate options could have been curtailed due to Covid-19.

The food option I selected was of an okay standard but not v good. Apparent feedback on some social apps appear to promote this venue to be a great venue but I didn't find it that! 

Staff were very nice but I noticed some poor hygiene practices that I was surprised to see.

Okay for a drink but I wouldn't promote/recommend their in house food offerings.

Tullamore Food Venue

This hotel has lovely food and a good atmosphere, but some of the staff never smile! Apart from that it’s a great place to stay if you want to visit the surrounding areas. It’s clean & warm even if the rooms are a bit old fashioned. It’s very reasonable price-wise and parking is across the road and you have to pay for it, but again, it’s reasonably priced. Enjoyed my stay here on both occasions!

Short break

Caught me by surprise as it's above a pub! Were given the room at the top but told the guy that I had a knee surgery so he moved me down, another level. That was really thoughtful of him. Not much of a help really as I still had to climb the stairs and the corridors to the rooms are quite dark! Walls are "paper thin" as we can hear anything and everything from toilet flushing to water running to people "mumbling"!! Parking is "pay and display" as after 6 pm, it's free but you have to watch for the next morning when it starts at 09.00! Breakfast is included. Service is friendly. Amenities are good though.

If you are really stucked for place!!

Booked for Sunday lunch on 29th jan 22
Food was fine  no complaints on that front but the service was nearly none existent. 
Main course arrived but no sides as in veg etc. After asking twice they eventually arrived after 10 min waiting 
At end of main course had to find a waiter to clear table and order dessert which never came.
After about 20 min decided enough was enough, paid for what we got and left. 
What a shambles 

Shocking service

Today we decided to eat dinner in Townhouse restaurant. We looked menu and decided take special meal for Wednesday. It was homemade cottage pie with mash and veggies. 2nd meal was chicken Caesar salad. I want to be clear. Price for salad in menu was €7.5 and pie when we asked costs €9.95. We finished eat and some food left so we took with us home. Time for pay and what happened?In receipt were different prices for both meal. First i wanted left some extra money for stuff when i thought i 'll pay €17.5 but it was almost €5 difference. They explained that actually salad was as a starter and in main course too but nobody told me and they charge me as a main course of course where more expensive price It's ridiculous.  They have to notice the customers  that they have 2 options for salad and give choice to customers to choose which one they want to but not decide themself instead of customers. This is not right. There is a to expensive to not give the choice to customers what they pay for.

Myself and my partner had Sunday lunch here today it was very disappointing. My partner ordered lamb which was nice but we realised after he got no bowl of veg with it unlike the table beside us. I ordered chicken vol au vent which was warm not hot. 
We also noticed that Mary, a lovely lady who did the meeting and greeting when you walked in and showed you to your table has left ..... big loss to a conveniently located venue. 

Sunday lunch 

Terrible tasteless food,  beef looked like it came out of a pack,   awful service,    long wait for food. No apology, inexperienced staff  waitress disappeared,  would not recommend,    very  disappointed
