Villa The Sanctuary Bali is simply a stunning villa resort. We were part of a group of guests coming from Australia and the US, invited to a wedding celebration that lasted 5 days, so we had the pleasure of staying at the villa resort for 5 nights! 

The delightful staff literally made everyone feel like royalty. Putu and Salam manage the villa with a service oriented approach beyond anything we have ever experienced before. Salam handles daily operations and is 'on call'; we had a WhatsApp group to communicate and it was just amazing. The whole villa team made sure we had everything we wanted. 

Salam provided us with daily dining suggestions and the in-house chefs cooked us the most delicious meals with fresh ingredients they had bought that day or the night before, in the case of breakfast. Whatever we requested, they made it for us, whether it was part of their standard menu or not!

The wedding planner and her staff were very sweet, super well-organized, and the wedding was a major success! A party with 75 guests that we will never forget!

I can only highly recommend Villa The Sanctuary Bali for any wedding celebration! We had the best time of our lives and brought back memories that will last a lifetime.


Magical Wedding

Thank you, Villa The Sanctuary in Bali, for making this the most amazing family holiday ever! We do these family retreats every-so-often, about 30 of us and this has definitely been the best one yet!

Upon arriving at this villa resort (it’s not just a big villa with 10 bedrooms, it’s actually a 22,000m2 piece of property with 10 individual rooms!!) we were all blown away by the idyllic location in this picturesque Bali tropical setting. The pictures of this villa resort were great, but seeing it in person was a whole other level! The master bedroom alone is the size of an entire house and has its own pool.

The staff was super friendly, Putu and Salam were always around to assist us and plan our meals. Major compliments to the chefs, the food was amazing (unlike in some other expensive hotels and resorts). Another culinary highlight was the poolside bbq next to the infinity pool with integrated jacuzzi :)))

We found our experience at Villa The Sanctuary Bali to be the most wonderful travel destination in Asia. We know luxury villas, and this is one of the best tropical getaways that we have found so far. Situated in an exceptionally private tree-lined landscape, spacious and modern, 10 bedrooms plus billiards lounge and media room with TV, DVD, DJ system, indoor and outdoor surround sound, wireless internet throughout the villa, and even in-room iPod docking stations.

Pro tip: buy your liquor at duty-free and bring it along, they don’t even charge for corkage!

Simply Amazing

Wow. Our stay was AMAZING. A group of us were here for a birthday / vow renewal ceremony and we cannot say enough about
this beautiful place. Billiards room, massage room, lovely pool, amazing wedding venue, spacious rooms, the list goes on. Some of the best chicken satay I have ever had! The staff were also incredible - special shout out to Salam for managing 20+ guests and all our daily needs.

We stayed at Villa Sanctuary to celebrate our wedding with family and friends, we stayed for one week - a week which we had been waiting for the last 3 years due to the pandemic. We are so glad we never gave up on our plans as it was sincerely one of the most amazing weeks of our life and we will remember this week dearly forever. 

Our wedding was organised in-house by Ellen who understood perfectly the vision we had in mind and brought so much more to it. She covered all details and really put all her heart into making our dream wedding happen. I wasn't sure what organising a wedding really involved but with Ellen, and Tracy on D-day, everything felt easy and smooth. I will be forever grateful for everything she's done to make our special day so special indeed, especially in the middle of a global crisis. 

Nested in the middle of the jungle by a river, the villa really fits in perfectly, being both beautiful and authentic. We were surrounded by the songs of the frogs at night and birds in the morning. We stayed with a group of 20 adults and 2 kids. All the rooms were perfect for each of us, very comfortable, always tidy and clean (thank you ladies!!). The swimming pool is stunning and of course kids loved it.

We would especially like to thank all the staff at the villa for everything they did to make us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. Putu, Salam, Gede, Gusde and everybody else were truly amazing. The chefs cooked delicious meals all week, our favorite was the Indonesian meal which we had a few times over the week. They really covered all dietary restrictions and offered great vegetarian options.  We were lucky to organise a BBQ by the pool on the last day, it was fun and delicious again. The level of service is definitely 5-star!

Splendid and authentic experience in the Balinese jungle with 5-star service

We just came back from Villa The Sanctuary Bali. It was our second time we stayed here, the first time was in 2016 and now we enjoyed it in September 2022. 

It was a delight to see all the staff again and we were impressed how well the villa has been maintained throughout the pandemic. Certainly the Villa is still amazing and all the staff are just wonderful. The villa, the gardens and the views are so much nicer than what the pictures show. 

The villa manager Putu, the assistant villa manager Salam and the whole team can’t do enough for you - if you ask for it - they do it for you (whether it is shopping, massages, excursions, food, etc ) nothing is ever any trouble. And the food is absolutely delicious. Congratulations and thank you all, what an amazing, professional and friendly team.

For us, this was a family holiday experience with a few families totaling 26 guest. To be able to be together again in one stunning place and to be spoilt and treated was unforgettable. We truly love lounging around the wonderful pool areas and living areas, it was perfect with so much room for all of us. 

We couldn't have wished for a better place to have our holiday after so many years apart. It was difficult to leave and we will be back soon.

Last but not least we were surprised how fast the area around Pererenan and Echo Beach has grown. There are so many new shops, bars and restaurants close to the villa now, we almost could not believe it. 

If you look for an amazing place to stay with a large group of family and friends in Canggu look no further.

10 BEDROOM PRIVATE LUXURY VILLA IN CANGGU.

We just returned from the Villa Sanctuary Bali. The villa is one of the most unique and beautiful villas we have ever stayed at. The grounds are stunning. The pictures can’t even begin to show how spectacular the setting is for this villa. The villa is situated in a beautiful “jungle” setting. It’s your own private resort for your group. All the rooms are spectacular with comfy beds, beautiful bathrooms, many with outdoor showers and exquisite furnishings. The master has its own private pool and sitting area that was an oasis unto itself.

As beautiful as the villa was, without question what made our stay here most memorable and special was the incredible staff. Salam, Putu, Gede, Gusde and the entire team went above and beyond to take care of our needs. From helping to plan meals, excursions, arranging transportation, special events, and services at the villa they always did so with a smile, and made us feel like family. The service they provided was top notch and is what separates this villa from any others we have stayed at. They really care about their guests and made us feel so welcomed and at home. We highly recommend this villa for any group or family gathering. The owner Frank was great to work with in booking our stay, even among the chaos of covid. Everything went off without a hitch and we are deeply grateful for his efforts.

Bali Dream Vacation 2022

There's aren't enough superlatives to describe this hidden paradise. To be nestled harmoniously with nature, soothed by the sounds of the local fauna & flora was an immersive experience. The staff were attentive to our needs without being over-bearing. Our room maximised it location and showcased the natural surrounds with an abundance of natural light. I had undisturbed sleep in the comfy bed and woke to breathtaking views of the river from my window...couldn't imagine a better way to start the day!

 Hidden Paradise in the Heart of the Nature

Villa The Sanctuary Bali is the most unique property I have ever stayed at. The setting is stunning: A huge garden of more than 2 hectare with spectacular views from every angle.

When you are arrive you are greeted by the most lovely staff who make you feel instantly at home which continues throughout your trip. They even remember all your names. At the end of the stay we felt we had a new big Balinese family. 

We stayed in the master bedroom which has its own private pool. This was amazing as we had our own privacy away from our friends. 

There are so many incredible features in the villa and the fabulous long pool with Jacuzzi is one of them!  We loved the entertainment options, snooker table and living room with lots to watch.

The location is perfect, so close to the best restaurants and and the beach clubs in Canggu but the truth is we didn’t want to leave the villa! It’s absolute heaven and the food is delicious.

A real Sanctuary 

We had a destination wedding at Villa the Sanctuary in March 2019. Our wedding coordinator Ellen made the whole planning process a breeze and was able to completely customise the event to suit our taste and needs. The staff at the villa where nothing but professional and extremely welcoming. I highly recommend the Villa the sanctuary for any wedding or celebration, as well as a great holiday. 5 stars!

Dream Wedding Venue

Where can I start! We just had our wedding at Villa the Sanctuary a week ago and everything was just perfect! We loved every minute of our stay at the villa and all our guests had an amazing timing during the celebration, all thanks to the villa and its fantastic staffs. 

We looked at many places during our venue scout for the wedding. There are tons of options in Canggu (& greater area) as well as other location such as Jimbaran and Uluwatu that offer popular beach side or cliff side views. However, we find Villa the Sanctuary most unique amongst all – the villa is tucked away in a beautiful jungle(!) with a river running across; it brings the magical and mysterious Ubud to the trendy Canggu!  It is a perfect venue for wedding celebration. While most villas would just have one open space for events, Sanctuary has several levels of gardens and different areas so we can have separate space for each of our welcome drink, cocktail and reception, which also helps to keep some surprises for the guests. The villa also has a pool/bar pavilion and a media room next to the garden areas, which we find super useful for guests to take a break from the heat / or as a nursery room. We were told by a number of wedding planners we consulted that Sanctuary is one of their favorite venue. It is so beautiful and versatile that we didn’t need to go out for our couple portraits at all, our photographer had a long list of spots inside the villa to take pictures for us!

Living in the villa itself was a dream, it was like having a private jungle to ourselves. It felt so close to nature staying in the villa, every morning we got woken by soft sunlight and crows of roosters that can be spotted at doorstep; and the soothing sound of the running river would send us to dreamland. The rooms are all very clean, spacious and beautifully done, each of the rooms has its own design and/or unique view. We also loved the large living room area that’s beautifully decorated with these large red lanterns. Both of our families spend a lot of time there gathering for meals and hangout, it felt very cozy and truly helped us bring the families together. The infinity pool facing the entire jungle and river was out of world, and definitely insta worthy. We have families coming from Europe, Canada and UK staying at the villa, and all of them raved about how beautiful the villa is and said that they want to retire in a place like this. We initially hesitated on Sanctuary as we find 5 nights minimum stay was a bit long, but we regret not booking for longer stay now! 

Our great experience can’t be complete without the truly amazing staffs of the Sanctuary Vila. There are 20+ staffs on site helping out guests all day around, no request was too much or too little (as a small example, I asked for a water kettle for the villa, and the staff arrived within 2 minutes with the kettle and a tea set and made us a tea). If you are hosting an event there, you can also be assured that these staffs are very professional and highly experienced with events. Upon arrival, Salam sat down with us to go through all the arrangements we needed or could have wanted. Salam was extremely thoughtful and reminded us of all the little details that we would have ignored during the busy days. We had a small misunderstanding with the staff initially, but everyone was friendly and helpful and sorted it out. These little things and preparations volunteered by the staffs go a long way to make your stay seamless, especially if you are having a wedding and expect a hectic time. 

Also have to mention that the kitchen at the Sanctuary is very solid as well. We opted to have our breakfast at the villa every day and asked for a few meals in villa for our family. They offer pretty good variety and are very flexible in terms of what we want. We also have Sanctuary to provide food for our casual pool-side BBQ brunch for the day after, and did not expect to be blown away by the food. All our guests who came to the BBQ loved it, there are so much variety and extremely tasty. Overall very pleased. 

Our guests for the wedding were all charmed by the villa and called it magical. We are so happy that we chose Sanctuary as our wedding venue and are already discussing about celebrating our anniversary here again !
