Ha Sharing

I spent 3 nights in Room 303 (2 Double beds) here. As the location is a bit removed from Police Bazaar, the cab driver from Guwahati had a difficult time locating the property. it is located in one of the bylanes opposite the Ramakrishna Mission in Laitumkhrah Road. There is a good bazaar/marketing area if you can walk down from the property to the main road, turn left and walk for some time. The things that impressed me most during my stay in this property were: 1. Very good, polite and helpful staff. They are always a phone call away whenever you need them. 2. Rooms are adequately sized, and clean. The bed linen was very clean as were the provided towels. We also had a small balcony which was provided with a clothes dryer stand. A small but immensely useful addition. Another nifty addition was a small dining space immediately outside the room. This provided a home like feel, while having breakfast and dinner. The absence of a wash basin here was the only fault that I could find. 3 Breakfast was included in the room rent. While it was not great, it was also not bad. It is, however limited to Bread-Omlette, Bread-butter-toast or Puri-sabji along with tea. Not much variety here. We tried some Chinese and Chicken preparations for dinner during our stay. Again, not overtly impressive, but not bad either. 4. Our room was also provided with an electric kettle which we did not use, but which would surely see a lot of use for people staying here during the winters. The attention to small details which would make your stay pleasurable and comfortable, is what I liked here. Check in and check out went fast and smooth. All in all....this will be my home away from home in all my future visits to the Scotland of the East.
