We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the kitchen staff are very professional, they cooked separate food for my child who is just a year old. 
Beautiful property.
Well maintained
The rooms do have a musty smell but however once the doors are opened the smell is not there. 
It feels just like we are away from all the hustle and bustle

Nice Place in the woods

The first thing that strikes you about K Star Woods is its proximity to near wilderness and tranquility and that is a little surprising since it is located right on the highway but the vehicular noise somehow does not reach the rooms so top marks on that. 

The rooms and amenities is an entirely different matter now. They charge anywhere between 5k to 6.5k (even higher) depending upon the occasion and time of the year you check in and at that price, you can get much better accommodation. The rooms have been wasted over the years and not much effort has been made towards their maintenance. When we entered our rooms, we found dust at some places, which shouldn't have been there as the staff knew we had to check in that day.

Having said that, our moments of joy used to be luncheons and dinners. The food there is mind blowing! Upon interacting with the manager there, we realised that the chefs have been there for years.
The rates for food are also very reasonable and the staff there will allow you to take your food as well and they offered to heat it for us as well. 

The service is impeccable even at the rooms. Most of the times we had our meals inside our rooms  and the additional room charge was next to nothing.

On the down side, they claim to have a gymnasium but upon using it we were left extremely disappointed.
We did not use their swimming pool but it looked very enticing and was well maintained.

What adds to the fun is the flock of duck that will greet you with their inimitable quacking. Touching them and stroking them is a completely different matter altogether as they don't allow humans to come close to them. And if you do try to be adventurous,they bend their neck and run towards you. 

We stayed there for 2 Nights but I can end this review by saying that I have been to better places in the same budget.

Average resort with beautiful surroundings

Once a fantastic resort close to Karnala Bird Sanctuary, its now a terrible place. In the past have often wondered how wonderful this resort must be - with pristine white paint and green roofs. But once booked, never again. Rooms are dirty, bathrooms are dirtier. Balcony railings are not cleaned and I had to get the room cleaned again. Thankfully, it was a one night stand - literally - and most of the checked in time was spent outdoors at the sanctuary. Managed to sleep the night, and checked out very early next day morning. You will waste your money. Unless of course, you are looking for a place to stay overnight after birding at Karnala. Strictly a serious birder's overnight halt. Restaurant is quite terrible, and service indifferent. Pity - such a wonderful location in the middle of wilderness. I guess the owners do not believe in maintenance.
