Nirvana Nature

Pre Booking Experience : Once i booked Nature Nirvana, Sudhin was very kind enough to contact me and asked me for all the details about the arrival time, meal preferences etc.. which was really appreciated, as i could plan my stay well in advance. I was also asking for lots of details like, bike rental, guitar rental, early check in request etc.. and Sudhin patiently arranged for bike and early check in and also suggested a few places to get guitar as well.. Its a rarity to see the owner of the resort to meet all the requirements of the guests even before we arrived! Overall, i was very impressed by the responsiveness and kindness of Sudhin, and the little thoughts of me looking for another property in Kumta vanished. Check in Experience: Even though i landed on a busy Monday of a long weekend, Sudhin and Harish were quick to allocate a room and also a place for me to work, as i specifically booked Nature Nirvana for Wifi and approach to beach. i was served breakfast immediately on my arrival, inspite of the place being full. Room: Room was decent for a couple, and was very neat and clean, and most of the rooms had a wonderful view to Arabian sea and the hill lock. Bed was comfortable, but there was only one fan, and lack of AC will be an issue during summer, although one fan would suffice in the month of Nov/Dec Location: Words or pictures wont do justice to the location, as it was beautiful, serene and peaceful, with long stretch of beautiful beach just few meters across the property, and the best part of the location was the hill lock,that presented a beautiful picture. One has to be there to experience this magical location. Harish and his team were also going over and beyond in cleaning the beach, as there was some plastic litter here and there, and they tried to do their bit in keeping the beach opposite to their property clean at the very least.. I could just go to Nature Nirvana just for the location alone.. I went to Gokarna for a day, and how glad i was in not choosing to stay in Gokarna as it was too crowded, and beach was dirty and Nirvana is a blessing in disguise. Since i stayed through the week, i felt the whole stretch of beach was for myself :-) They could have more than one hammock though! Food: I was initially apprehensive of the food, but David the chef surprised me with Arabian style of steamed Red snapper that was cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices and its a must to have and its a real treat for sea food lovers.. i also had tawa fried Red snapper the next day in goan style which was also equally tasty. They also cooked some items that were not part of the menu, and all their shakes and fresh juices were amazing too. Food is definitely the high point along with Location. They also prepared turmeric Latte for a good night sleep :) Activities: Apart from the pristine beach to play with, one could enjoy loads of other activities like boating, trekking, yoga etc. Sudhin was extremely kind enough to teach me Yoga every day early in the morning on the beach, and it was very relaxing as i have never done yoga on the beach. He was extremely patient in observing me and pointed out all the improvements to make me do the asanas perfectly. YOU ARE GREAT YOGA TEACHER SUDHIN Sudhin also took me and other guests on a boat ride that covered Om beach, Paradise beach and half moon bay beach, and also stopped in the middle of the sea during sun set, which was truly magical experience. We also went to a small beach, that had a cave(that apparently leads to Mirjan fort) The morning trek on the nearby hill lock was just amazing, as we can see amazing views of half moon bay beach and the sangama(where Aganashini river meets Arabian sea). It was one of the best treks that i have ever done, as we have uninterrupted view of Arabian sea all through out the trek. We also found a nice place to do some mediation as well. Host: Sudhin was a wonderful human, and its very rare to see a person like Sudhin who goes over and beyond to keep the guests happy. He is just a phone call or a whatsapp message away in arranging anything the guests would want. He engages with the guests whenever needed and also respects our privacy at the same time. He knows the local contacts for taxi,auto,boating etc and referred me to amazing set of people like Kumar(taxi), Yakoob Chachu(Auto) and Raghavendra(Boat) Overall, it was a truly rewarding experience i never wanted to return to Bangalore and how i wished to have stayed more. Thanks to Sudhin and Nirvana Nature for making my stay one of the most memorable ones!!!
