We were moved here due to a problem with our room in another set of studios belonging to the same family. This wasn’t a problem as we were more than satisfied with our replacement studio. Marina met us at the port and delivered us to our door. The room was not at the front, where there are glorious sea views, but our balcony at the side had partial sea views and great views of the village and the mountains. The room itself was very clean, quite spacious and well equipped with very efficient air-conditioning as well as a large fan. There was even a hammock type sun lounger on the balcony. The kitchen work space was a bit limited but had all you needed to self-cater. The cleaning was done regularly to a very good standard and Marina was very helpful. She even provided us with food for our meal one evening and it was delicious. The property is on different levels with lots of steps to negotiate to get to the different studios, something to bear in mind if negotiating stairs is a problem, which, to us, it wasn’t. We would definitely stay here again. 

Rooms with a view

Since my last review on Marina's Studios we have stayed there twice a year other than when impossible because of lockdown.  Each year we have been Marina has added an improvement - such as the external blinds, very comfortable mattresses and extra kitchen appliances.  It really is the best equipped studio apartment we have ever stayed in.  Loubon who looks after us on a daily basis is second to none.  The view is the best on the island - suggest you google 'Tilos web' and you will see the apartment building on the right and the view from it.  Sadly we have had to decide we can no longer cope with the steps so I can strongly recommend Studio Nos 12 or 14 during May and October (when we would normally be there!)

We never grew tired of sitting out on the balcony looking at the view! The room was clean and comfortable. Marina is warm and helpful. We stayed for 6 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Be advised that it is 122 steps back up to your room.

What a view!

Stayed here for 2 weeks, Marina picked us up at the port and took us to our room, the view from the balcony was amazing, you could see the whole town, the port and all the beaches along the coast. Nice Greek style room with all we needed, even a fan which we prefer to air con as we find it very drying. The maid service was above the call of duty keeping everything clean and tidy. Bear in mind to get that view we had 97 steps to get out of the studio onto the path at the bottom and probably another 20 to get to the square, yet there is a way using 2 slight slopes which take a little longer but some days proved useful. My wife says it's good for my thighs. The question is would we go back YES, in fact we are thinking about 3 weeks in April and May.

Mariana and staff are lovely. Apartment spotlessly clean, fantastic views and real personal service. Great value for money. Recommend this place highly.

Excellent accommodation 

These are enchanting studios overlooking Livadia Harbour on the idyllic island of Tilos.  My room had an enticing balcony which overlooked the harbour and out across the Mediterranean.  I was fortunate enough to stay there during a full moon. It was sublime and almost dreamy to sit out on my balcony on a warm balmy night after a delicious meal at one of the local Tavernas and watch the moon rise over Tilos. The rooms are clean and extremely spacious (the size of a small apartment) with comfortable beds and abundant storage space.  

The owner of these studios by the same name, Marina, is a warm, kind and gracious host, welcoming each of her guests individually as we disembarked from the ferry.  

I stayed in these wonderful studios for three nights in June. Tilos Island is stunning with its high sun-weathered mountains, hills and cliffs cascading into the sea, I could have stayed here a lot longer exploring its trails, paths and high passes connecting secluded coves and beaches, disturbed only by the sounds of goats and the wind.  It's a world way from the hustle and bustle of Rhodes, which is 2 to 2.5 hours by ferry from Tilos.  To put it into perspective, Rhodes gets approximately 2 million tourists per year, whereas Tilos only gets about 13,000.  If you want to escape mass tourism, crowds and package tours head to Tilos and stay at Marina Studios.  

The only reason that I'm giving Marina Studios 4 stars and not 5 is because there was no laundry.  This would probably mean I would stay elsewhere if I returned for longer next time (although I would definitely stay here if I was only going to be in Tilos for a few days). I go through clothes very quickly when travelling and always like a laundry facility or service.  There was also no independent laundry on the island either.  If this is important to you and you are spending any time in Rhodes before arriving in Tilos, there is a laundry in the old town that will wash, dry and fold a big bag of clothes for around EUR €3 or €4 from memory.  

Apart from the absence of a laundry, Marina Studios is perfect.

Marina studios! Like there nowhere! 
Clean Rooms, Amazing view, High speed wifi, Value for money!Do you need something else? I do not think so! But if you wish, call Marina! She will be there in 2 minutes!
You can ask her where to have dinner, where to have a drink, where to swim. She is a human travel guide! 
If you ever go there, give her a big hug from me!

Marina is everywhere!

Comfortable, well equipped studio. wonderful views down on livadia.Would happily return. Only negative was very steep steps up to studios from village... What one pays for the good view but certainly not for the unfit.kept very clean. excellent transport from and to ferry and delivery of the heavy groceries (such as bottled water) from owners supermarket to studios. Hope to return.

wonderful views

We spent 10 days in the Marina Studios in a harbour facing studio with balcony. The studios are spotlessly clean. Towels & bedding changed every other day. Marina picked us up from the harbour and took luggage down on our departure. We shopped at her minimarket and the groceries were delivered quickly and put in our apartment. We booked direct with Marina and she answered any queries quickly. 
There is an iron and small hairdryer in the apartment. There is also a fan as well as free aircon. If we stayed in Livadia again we would have no hesitation to book the Marina Studios again
 Livadia is a laid back, friendly village. Sunbeds are free on the pebbly beach (just buy a drink in the bar).Its quiet & peaceful with lots of walking around the island. Our favourite tavern was Gorgona as it had several freshly cooked dishes of the day. The local bus runs on time and for 1.5euro you can travel over the island. We found the bus stopped wherever you asked  the driver to.  There are many cats around the villages and restaurants & goats on the hills! Tilos is a lovely island & we would recommend it to walkers.

Stunning Views. Friendly Staff

We spend one week at Marina studios during our vacation in Greece. The 2-bed studio rooms came with a great panoramic view. The quality of the beds were ok but not outstanding. However, both Marina and husband Yiannis were really nice and friendly. The local supermarket, run by the family, offers free delivery, which is a great advantage considering the studios location well above the city.
