We spent a week there: 4 days at Gialos and 3 days at Vrahos. Both apartments have a stunning view on Glaronisia island and have their own "almost" private beach. You can hear the sound of the sea while sleeping and enjoying a romantic sunset from the terrace. The check in was friendly and Sophia made our staying very pleasant. The apartment was very well cleaned every morning and they provided us fresh towels every 2/3 days, and handmade cakes for the children. The children loved the beautiful swimming pool where Sophia allowed them to go in Santamaria, which was a great break from the strong sea! The only negative point was no internet at all in the apartment, but we knew it.

I visited Ostraco last june 2014 as we were staying at Santa Maria, an hotel in Adamas owned by the same family. And this hotel was parferct. Sofia told us of her 4 houses in Pacheina a few kms away and by the sea. I rented 3 houses for my family and none of us regretted a single thing. Houses are fully equipped. There is daily cleaning. The 3 houses we rented had ample place for 3 or 4 people each. Kitchen were all well euipped. Bathrooms were of the same quality. And we had a baby crib already installed in one of the houses after rhaving asked for it before we left Canada.Votsalo is the nicest, I think followed by Gialos. Then ther are the 2 smaller Vythos and Vrahos. A dream place for my family. And the service by the owners, Sofia and her brother is excellent. We will be back for sure and so will my children!

It was the second time we spent two weeks of summer holidays at Gialos apartment.
The see view is fantastic, the place very quiet.
This year, we just changed our dates to come back to this place... so it says it all!
The apartment is very clean, towels are changed every day, sheets every two or three days.
The cleaning woman is very kind and brought us water melons, tomatoes, and cakes on behalf of Sofia.
Should we come back to Milos, we will stay there again!

My husband and I spent a week at Ostraco Houses (Vythos) ,at the beginning of July 2015.Our lovely ,little room was exactly as depicted in the site photos,the view amazing despite the strong northern winds and the room service impeccable.Sophia's (the hotel manager) welcoming smile and the basket of freshly baked buns brought by her in the morning, although breakfast was not included , were a huge plus!

Little gems in Milos

Ostraco Houses: Gialos apartment

Loved it!

I must say that expectations were very close to reality. We stayed at Vrachos, which really is a beach house. The beach starts no more than 5m from the veranda. The beach is sandy on the outside, but with large pebbles going inside, which makes it particularly unfriendly for kids. Also, note that Milos is a windy island during the summer with winds coming from the north, which also makes this little "private" beach almost unswimmable.

Having said that, the views are fantastic (you also get a lovely sunset) and there's peace and quiet all day (and night) long.

I actually thought that the apartment was better looking than the official photos.The apartment was rather spacious for a family of 4, (decently equipped) kitchen included. The bathroom was fine, the shower was excellent and the toiletries of a high quality. The room was serviced daily. All in all, everything was fine. I just think that it was overpriced, as is everything in the Greek islands nowadays
