Worst accommodation I have ever been in. Was told there was cooking facility's. There was nothing. Just a tiny stove thing. A tiny kitchen no pans or anything. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each.a make up bed was made for my son as soon as you sat on it the slats fell thro, so he had to spend the night on the floor on a mattress And a bathroom. No room for the family to sit in together. If you left food out this was covered in 30 mins by tiny ants. The island it's self tho is lovely. Would defiantly go back but not to this accommodation.

Terrible accommodation

This was an extra holiday for us which I booked just the week before!  It is a 2 star establishment so we weren’t expecting the Ritz. It’s basic Greek accommodation and we have stayed in worse! The outside had been painted (I prefer the white and blue) and the inside has bright colours so maybe it’s been painted too. 

It is tired looking. 

We had 2 decent sized rooms and plenty of wardrobe space and unusually lots of hangers! The bed was comfortable and clean (the mattress looked new) as was the bedding - looked like new covers. In the other room there was a fridge, kettle and cooker although I didn’t use the cooker. It all worked fine. The tv, if you wished to watch it, was high up on the wall and you’d have to climb up on the bed to put the key in to turn it on and bring in the plastic chairs from the balcony to watch. 

The bathroom could have had a deep clean. No shower curtain but to be fair in the heat I was glad of that.

I don’t think the owner gets much in payment from Olympic for the rooms so we can’t really expect much! 

It was in a good position up a lane and very quiet. Over the road was a lovely bar and behind that Jimmys where if you wanted you could use the pool. Further up the lane was a good little supermarket which was cheaper than the one on the main road. 

Down the lane are 4 superb restaurants only about 5 mins away. There are others up the lane but we didn’t try them. The lovely beach is about 10 mins away - 2 umbrellas and a parasol for 8 euros. 

The owner is surly! We went to buy just 3 nights aircon (20 euros) and he wasn’t at all pleasant! 

All in all we would go back there if money was tight. Skiathos is really beautiful and from bus stop 16 into the town which is amazing is 1 Euro 60 each each way!! Bargain. 

If you want better accommodation you have to pay for it. You get what you pay for!!

I wouldn’t recommend. I agree with all other reviews regarding cleanliness, maid is rubbish!  I can put up with basic but basic and dirty is intolerable. We got put here as Thomas Cook had taken over a contract from Olympic, this was 2 weeks before holiday!  No nicely tended flower gardens like the other properties, concrete car park instead. Very substandard bathroom, crockery, cutlery, beds etc. Cobwebs on floor, dead insects on balcony. These are in Platanias, bus stop 16, don’t get confused with other properties with similar names. 

Poor standard

Location good. Size good. Dirty drawers, oven, bedding. Very little kitchen equipment in a self catering apartment. 1 out 4 oven rings worked. toilet broke. The list is endless. I would say don't stay there

Dirty and disapppinting

We booked here fairly last minute as we were unable to get into our usual place which was fully booked.  However the studios were just across the road so we knew the area very well.  For what we paid for 2 weeks it was your basic Greek self catering accommodation.  We were allocated a family studio, two very large rooms, even though there were only two of us, so plenty of space.  Decent enough fridge, kettle, small toaster and, unusually a proper cooker.  Loads of storage space, beds were decent enough and a large balcony.  Downside however, only one ring on the cooker worked, it is a hand held shower in the bathroom and the cleaner really only gave the place no more than a 'lick and promise'.  It was OK for us to use as a base, we were usually out from first thing in the morning, only returning to shower and then go out.  There is no pool but the beach is within easy walking distance, there are pool bars close by but please do remember it is etiquette that if you are using a pool bar to at least buy a drink or snack.  Bus stop 16 again is an easy walk and there are a number of good tavernas close by.  The owner runs the supermarket by the bus stop but, tip, the supermarket closer to the studios, opposite Calma, is much cheaper.
